my boss use to have an alero with 2 crossfire bmfs and a 1000watt crossfire bmf amp that hit pretty damn hard, plenty enough to move the hairs inside ur ears.

I would use a home receiver and just set the track on repeat and go to bed

How you supposed to go to bed with that going on? The home reciever wont hurt the subs at all? I could have them broken in before i get everything because I use a home receiver for my computer speakers.

Is there any way to run this system without upgrading my alternator? I might be selling the car but i want a system badly and don't want to buy one because i know i wont be able to sell it for how much i paid for it. Could I just Upgrade the big 3 and 2nd battery? I will be getting 2 batteries at once because I still have to upgrade my front battery.

well do the big 3 anyways.thats always a good start.then when its all in and playing then you'll know if you need an alt or not.

how much power will you be running again?oh!btw i'm running at least 900 watts with no probs on my stock alt.it's rated at 105 amps.

My friend had a Kicker 600.1 in his eclipse...had some pretty good light dimmage.

With your 2006D I'm sure you'll have some good voltage problems with the system cranked up

have you looked into adding a second alt.?i saw an article about it.you add another pully to your alt and a bracket to mount the other alt and all you add is a small drive belt.

no need to replace your factory belt.

well its not well worth it to get an alt when im going to be getting a different car.

OK Im not gonna be running this at 1 ohm just yet. Till I can get the other car but is this how i set it up at 2 ohms?
set it up to 4ohms and then bridge it?
when you bridge it it will read at half correct? This is a 1ohm stable amp so this should be able to work along with these dual 4 ohm subs. Will this work?
[EDIT] ok nm my amp isn't bridgeable [/EDIT]

this amp is a mono channel...there is nothing to bridge....whatever load you have it that is the load the amp sees.

If you have dual 4 ohm coils the only options you have are 1 ohm, 4 ohm, or 16 ohms

If you have dual 2 ohm coils the only options you have are .5 ohms, 2 ohms, or 8 ohms

No not a new car but newer. A 2000 Alero. How much wire you think I need for the big 3? This is a very tight engine so Could I do both cars? I have about 10 feet red 0 gauge and 10 feet black 0 gauge.
