sweet.... by the way electro. thanks for the box design. I made the box already and I just have to install it now. I'll have that done by the end of the week... Hope it slams...
cool!, no problem. Any pics? If it's anything like mine which it is very close, it's going to slam big time. I'm still amazed with my setup lol 200 watts, one sub and it's louder than most of the systems i've had. I can't imagine 1700 watts lol this is going to be frign insane. Can't wait. I figured out my power surge, first i thought i was killing the batteries going for a drive blasting for an hour and a half. A few days ago i came back and went to start the car again like an hour later and the batteries were pretty well toasted but it did start. So then i'm thinking ok still, why is a 200 watt amp killing my batteries so i checked the battery at the front and the negative ground terminal was loose...yay lol. The thumping went away too when i start my car with my deck on which i try not to do now.
Here's a few pics when I was building it. Only took two pics cuz I was pressed for time. finished it in about 2 1/2 hours. good to hear that you power problems got worked out.
looks good, i would add some bracing between the subs on the front baffle to the rear baffle. use something that's somewhat strong and takes up little volume.
Thanks, it looked like to me that i would need some kind of bracing... If i were to just use 3/4 MDF for the bracing, what width would you suggest it should be?
haha, that looks sick. nice work!! you could probably put one inbetween the woofers on the front panel, top to bottom and same thing on the back, 2 to 4 inches should be good, or like g3 said maybe a 2x4 front to back in the middle
where you been g3 haven't seen you for awhile before this. here's the mini version lol 4.0 cubic feet @ 40hz
haha, i know the feeling.. work is a bit slow here, try and make up for it other ways, computers, stereos, whatever lol.
same here. i want my old computer job back. i was his best employee and he fired me to scare me so i said **** you. only one to get a 100 on his test. **** was easy anyways.
got it. I'll do that this weekend. I just don't have the time to do it now. I really wanted to hear how it sounds. Right now, It's just sitting in the house waiting to get used.lol
