sweet, thanks electro. I think I going to make this next weekend and then i can compare the two boxes. Then I can decide which one I'll have upholstered. Thanks again. I have a question. What kind of glue are you using to glue/seal the port in?
http://www.hexibase.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=527 do it like that, if anything make your holes slightly smaller than the port then sand it out. Its worth the extra work for a good fit and clean look. just use caulk on the inside to seal it cause trust me if you do it right its not going anywhere. You wanna make it realllllll snug.
ya just trace the pipe when it's sitting on top of your box in place and then cut inside the line with the jigsaw leaving like an 1/8 of an inch of space inside of the line. Make it a nice tight fit, i hammered one of mine in with a block of wood and used ABS Cement, it's for pvc pipe, should be right beside the pipe in the store. You only have about 7 seconds though once you put that glue until it hardens so make sure you have the pipe in place in time! lol
gotta ask you on this. does that box look like it would really slam the 13Ov.2's? I want a box that will really make them pound hard.
well the box you built is pretty similar to the one i built for my friend. only his was side ported. that may be a consideration.
lol. it will get the lows really good too??? that is a big step up from my current box. my box now just hits around 4 cubes.
cccullen - i would give electros box a go. the 4cuft box i did for my friend was loud and all but i think it could get louder and lower. as you probably know the larger the box typically the lower the sub can hit to an extent.
ok, last question (I hope). Does it matter where I'll be putting the round ports? and the subs? I'm just asking cuz the design doesn't give measurements on the placement of the subs or ports.
