Ya i was thinking about it, this one must be underated or the cerwin vega is over rated. Smelled burning coil a few times lol, unless it was glue from being a new sub but i doubt it. I'll get if fixed eventually and probably sell it or get a second stroker.

 

The stroker? It's a dual 2 ohm 12" 2000 watts rms

 

ya i might do that, i've been seeing some info and at 4 ohms instead of 2 ohms or 1 ohm there is less THD anyways and the amp won't heat up as much. Speaking of heating up i finally sent my verge 200 watt amp into thermal protection for like 20 minutes for the first time lol. It was very hot yesterday too, like 30. I thought i fried something but she came back haha. Good old cheap stuff..

That's pretty hot lol, i'm thinking of going with a cerwin vega amp, this one in particular, any thoughts or anyone have a cerwin vega amp?

no, i didn't find anything, not much info out there about these, was wanting to give it a try since i have the stroker then maybe i can find a shop that sells cerwin vega and get a sponsor. Was thinking two of those amps since they are stackable and two strokers.

 

Well.. instead of buying a cheap amp that i will probably fry anyways, i decided to build this! Which i've been wanting to do for a while now. Can't wait to hear it. The port tubing is not secured yet will finish it up tommorow. I was wrong about the price of MDF lol i don't know what i was looking at before, it was only $29.00

Lol oh man i just realized looking at the pics it was supposed to be three 4" vents not two grrrr. i guess there's room for another hole
