ohhh, duh, lol no wonder i couldn't find the high pass filter, reading the manual helps.

    Pioneer_DEH-P4900IB

    # When the F.I.E. function is on, you cannot select
    HP-FILTER.

Another duh lol, i thought i could only set the eq to low med or high but i have control of each one separately +6db to -6db on each one.

    Adjusting equalizer curves
You can adjust the currently selected equalizer curve setting as desired. Adjusted equalizer curve settings are memorized in CUSTOM.

1 Press AUDIO to select EQ.
2 Press c or d to select the equalizer
    band to adjust.
    EQ-LOW (low)—EQ-MID (mid)—EQ-HIGH
    (high)
3 Press a or b to adjust the level of the
    equalizer band.
+6 to –6 is displayed as the level is increased
    or decreased.
    # You can then select another band and adjust
    the level.

I didn't get the hifonics fixed yet, using a verge 200 watt amp at 4 ohms for now.

Nice, i got into mine a little more and there's actually more than the 3 band eq. if you press and hold audio for each one you can change the curve of each band, low, med, high plus you have +6db and -6db gain on each one so it's kind of cool. I have it sounding pretty crisp now. You got to be a scientist to know how to work these new decks lol, what the hell.

It sounds frigin amazing now that i have it set up, better than my old pioneer, i have to take back what i said about it missing features. The ones that matter anyways, they are all there just set up differently. Just missing my battery voltage readout and some graphics, no big deal. And it does have direct ipod control which my old one didn't. I think this is the nicest sounding deck i ever had. Not bad for ebay crap lol.

Yes it is! Just got it for a temporary until i got the alpine but i might as well just use this one. I still want to hear the alpine 9886 though, i should go somewhere where they have it hooked up.

I hooked up my hifonics in the house and it makes my power supply go into protect. All i hooked up was the power and ground and remote. It lights up for a second then pops the breaker. Same thing it was doing in my car except it was popping a 100 amp anl fuse. Will see if i can find a good place to get it fixed.

    good luck to you.

i wonder why the little amps dont break, but the big ones have trouble. ?

why not get a modest sized amp. 500 watts or so.

    i got a power acoustic amp thats 560 rms x 1 @ 4ohms.

I don't know but it's starting to get to me lol. Was thinking of getting something around 1600 watts then i don't have to worry about frying anything.
