I got it for $354.00 shipped! I've searched the net quite a bit not much out there on this, but i've seen them selling for up to $1000.00. What was it worth new? This amp is perfect for me, all kinds of protection.

As hifonics celebrates it’s 20th anniversary of producing the finest high end car audio products available, we would like to thank you for your purchase.
The Brutus Series range of products have been designed to a very high level of performance, with features unavailable in any other product. All of the amplifiers have variable crossovers built in, with added touches such as subsonic filter, bass equalization and a bass remote control module option that allows bass control from the reach of the drivers seat. To insure years of listening pleasure, all amplifiers have a built in diagnostic mode that will detect shorted speaker leads, low impedence, dangerous high temperatures, DC shorts and will shut down the amp to prevent serious damage

So much for my amp rack. lol all that work. This amp is about an inch too wide to fit. Hopefully it runs a lot cooler than my orion did.

well it shares the same board as the americanbass vlf 150.1.

so it has to be well built.

Cool, how about rated power? It's correct?

It should be pretty close to rated power. That's a real nice amp! Hifonics amps run very cool so I don't think you'll be needing that amp rack you're in the process of making anyway (even though you new amp won't fit).

Hifonics can run at 1ohm all day so i don't think you'll be able to break this one (don't quote me on that).lol

haha, sweeeeet!!!! That's what i like to hear. I was thinking of busting off one side of my amp rack and then rebuild it, but i think i'll wait and see how hot it gets. I may have finally found a system compatible with me!! Gotta get some more 0 gauge quickly..And some MDF.

I've heard from a lot of people and read a lot of reviews about Hifonics amps and they all say they don't run hot. another member here (mkb116) bought a BXI1606D and he said after playing his for a while he felt the amp and it felt like the amp wasn't even on.lol

So hopefully, that amp won't run hot at all.

I saw your Hifonics BX2200D on:

    Sonicelectronix for $369.99
    Woofersetc for $519.99

Awesome, ya i think it will be ok, it has a built in fan too so that's a plus! The orion did too but it wasn't too powerfull.

I saw those too lol, the sonic electronics one is not available, discontinued and out of stock lol so $500.00 was the cheapest i saw. One place was selling it for just over $1000.00

Thanks! This is going to be sick!! haha, i can't wait. I gotta take it a bit slow this time and finish this up right the first time with the electrical. Going to run a a ground to the back too. I really don't like how my car is put together, i think grounding it in the trunk is a bit weak.
