those fan boards look like kife lol..tommorow will bring them inside the box and maybe flush with the outside. too late now for powertools, maybe pick up some fiberglass tommorow to smoothen things out. What kind of quick drying glue can i use for the wood seams/?

haha, then...water cooled. I saw an orion 2100 silver water cooled amplifier on ebay, it came with the pump too, i had to let it go, killed me to do it lol. Didn't have the cash at the time. Well i picked up 3 more fans the same going to try this a third time, hopefully i can get it looking descent. I screwed up putting this box together with nails, i really wish i had used screws. Much easier for changes. I might pull it right apart and pull all the nails and do it again with a drill and screws this time.

The fans are just resting there not mounted or wired yet! Getting excited wohoooooo. Need to get some fiberglass to make this rack look nice.

They are just lighted case fans for computers, these ones i got locally from a hobby shop, they are unique and i bought them all so, i wouldn't know where to get more like this. But there are tons of different kinds out there and i think they come in two or three sizes.

Is it a good idea to fiberglass over this whole box then sand and paint it?

just from looking it seems like the holes u cut out in the wood where u mounted the fans to are too small, they need to be as big as the fan blades are, which those look like 80mm fans, having the hole that small will cut the airflow in half. trust me im frankenstein when it comes to computers and i've done some crazy **** oh and most computer fans are 80mm, 92mm, or 120mm. They go smaller but... i wouldn't see any need unless it was a specificly needed. Also 120mm fans usually spin slower than 80mm fans and are half as loud and still put out twice as much cfm.

Ok i have my design, but it's butchered together due to lack of wood lol. Sooo, will pick up some more wood this week and build this a fourth and final time! With the side pieces as one piece.

I have fiberglassed and used bondo before on cars and i know how much work it is but if you do it nice the final product is well worth it. No ripples!

But i am just wondering about doing it to a wood box if it will stick properly and stay and not crack all to **** after. It's a lot of work and i don't want to do it if it's not the right thing to do.

Yes the holes are too small, I didn't have enough cash to get the bigger hole cutting bit but even that one was only 2 1/2 inches. What else could i use?

i have two that need to go in.i was asking if they make small ones with a light.the two i have i got from broken car stuff.

one from an old ac delco radio.the other from a power inverter.
