Your're gonna have to keep turning it in circles to catch up to me! Maybe you can get it going fast enough to break 150 LOL

Well my amp is good!!!!!! I switched amps and the sub still made the noise like it's bottoming out or something, so i switched speakers and it's ok. So i'm back to a burned sub again lol, i must not have been pushing enough power into it when i tested the sub on my home system.

    maybe it was bottoming out?

    build a box for it.

update...i have to turn my sub out to -24. THATS ALL THE WAY DOWN and my bass still pounds like a mutha!

so at the 0 setting i got what you call rediculous bass.lol

am going to ask around the flspl site to see if anyone locally has a meter i can use to find out.

i might just throw another 10 in the mix one day.

    bottoming out???

Hm...maybe you are getting a clipped signal..

I gave my 19Ov.2 1000 watts free air and it didn't bottom out

    possibly...that amp is freakin HUGE!!!

yeah freakishly huge.ok.how about this.i'm reading my car audio mag. box basics.

"because most ib woofers are made with stout suspentions, low frequency extention is some what compramised.this also carries over to power handleing.with no solid reinforcment for damping,a subwoofer must be designed specifically for ib applications or it's mechanical power handling may be dramaticly reduced- by as much as 50% of it normal power rating"

so its saying your sub may be loosing control and also a subsonic filter may be needed.plus your trunk panels mat be flimsy and causeing other probs as well.like cancelation, distortion and unwanted noises.

    does that make sense?

yeah...Hey electro why don't you just use that amp as the rear seat??? looks big enough.

I really wonder how much power it puts out...i mean it a little bigger than your normal 1600 watt amp

yeah that thing has to be at least 2000 to 2500 watts.

haha, yes the amp is a beast, and i'm pretty sure that because it is an HCCA Competition amp that it IS 1 0hm stable and has the upgraded unregulated power supplies to handle that. So between that and my battery beside it and the woofer flying around in like 10 cubic feet of air lol, i killed it. I'm sure now, I tested it again in the car with a different amp and speaker then brought it in the house and pumped a little more power to it and it starts making this loud crackling noise. So it's screwed.

So after contacting the Elemental Designs Dealer in Canada, he tells me i have to send it back to ED in the states. It's a lot of bother now and may end up costing the price of another...by the time it comes back i will probably get nailed with duties also. Not sure if i want to go through that lol, maybe go back to MTX, but something nice, i've never burned an Mtx believe it or not HAHA.

I'm very happy my amp is ok, i paid over $700.00 for it.
