I don't know? I heard a very low distorted buzz from one of the coils a few days ago and last night i went for a cruise and i heard the one coil dropping in and out and then the smell. Weird though because when i started hearing the buzz and narrowed it down to be coming from one coil, both coils measured exactly 3.9 ohms. I'm sure they won't now. I think the air volume of my trunk was just too much for it.

What do you think about me getting two of the 18s and running @ 1 ohm so the amp will heat up less, if i be real careful with the volume. i'm sure with two of them i wouldn't need to push the amp or speakers. Think the old orion would do it?

The ED rep asked if i wanted two to do that when i first bought the sub, and he seemed to know the amp and thought it would be ok.

Maybe i can get a maybe from viking lol, he said don't do it before.

if im not mistaken the less the ohms the more heat the amp will generate

good news electro.next time around maybe you should wire it for an 8 ohm load.

    lol fuk...

What do you think of two of the 18"s sharing my trunkspace? Will fix my design flaw? lol

And the orion @ 1 ohm but i would be very careful with the volume and only one song at a time.

is that amp stable at 1 ohm?? i forget

two 18's will be fine IB in your trunk

you could get the fried sub reconed to a dual 2 ohm

then ask them if they have any b-stock dual 2 ohm 19Ov.2's

    ok, whats b-stock
