Yea you gotta have insurance in the states (or your supposed to at least). Forgot to mention mine is liability only and its still that much.
There are a lot of good cars you can get with this money. you can even get almost new one if you know how and where to find .
At least $200 but no more than $500 for a $5000 dollar car. Unless it's really not worth $5000. Check the blue book value of the car and you may be able to negotiate better. And I know this is late but I would have to agree with the people that recommend ricers. Toyotas & Hondas for the most part. I'd get you something like this or this. And make sure nobody has added any mods or fixed anything themself. You don't want a car that's been messed with. Hondas and Toyotas last well past 180,000 miles. I'd say at least 200,000. So if you get one for under 100,000 your set.
