I really think you should look for something new. that looks pretty old there and it's not well taken cared of IMO

Well I appreciate everyone's help but I went and bought the alpine system that guy on craigslist was selling. I beat him down to 500 bucks for the entire thing which included: Alpine component speakers X-Series; Alpine 12" sub(in custom tuned box); JL Audio 300/2 and 250/1(sub amp); cables and wires! And Amp Kit. So i'd say it was a deal. Now I just need to figure out how to wire this all up. Any suggestions?

Edit: Also would it be ok at this point to cheap out on the head unit? How important is that? I want to install tomorrow and my options are RADIO CITY and another store SOUND EFFECTS in my town. I'll probably try to take their advice on a cheapish receiver.

the head is on of the most important things in a good sounding system. look for one with a good bit rate if your into listening to cd's. mine is 24 bits which makes a cd sound very good.

if its i pods and mp3's you listen too it may not matter much then.

It will be strictly ipod use only. I was considering getting a mechless unit but we'll see. Anyone have a wiring diagram for a similar system as mine? Head-> Two Amps-> Front Stage-> One Sub..

Well it took 19 hours but I have the thing installed.I just don't have the tweeters or the ?crossovers? installed. They confuse me and i have to find a good mounting position for the tweeters. I have one question though. How do I begin to tune my system? There are all these knobs and switches that I can't even pretend to understand. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Woo 19 hours is a trip lol. well it depends on what your knowbs and switches are labeld for... best bet is to set volume level to a mid range, and tune from there.
