r u talkin bout the PB's? cause they r $40 and i could wire four of them into 1ohm. which would be perfect for that amp. i was lookin at the 1206d but it aint at sonics anymore?
in that car have a box made that has the port fire thru the rear deck. that way you can isolate the rear speakers from the subs. a set of 4in plates is what i would use. instead of 4 x 10's for rear fill
go for the powerbass subs! i had 2 15s that were loud as ****, then i got some nice 12's but now im selling my nice 12"s and getting 6 powerbass 15"s to wall off my grand am, not too much for comp but more for the wow factor, ever heard 6 15"s with 3,200w rms? hehe its gonna pound. i am a little worried about the tiny bullseye in my windshield though....im afraid that since it has a weak point it might shatter.....and windshields are expensive.... if your going to buy powerbass buy them on ebay from a seller called "thedeepdiscount" i have spent nearly 4-500 thru him, BUT make sure there powerBASS and not powerBASE because he sells both, powerbase is the economy model's and there trash but the powerbass are monsters for the money, and he is REALLY cheap, everything is new in package, and sent VERY quickly
you have a very small rear deck and a huge trunk. so run the port into the car from the rear deck. ok see the port on top. now picture it firing thru th rear deck in side.that way if you put rear fill speakers in the deck the air pressure from the subs wont blow them up.
oh, and i got 2 more matching interfire amps, 4 optima blue tops (cheap on clearance) and a guy in town rewound a core alt. for me took it to autozone and its pushing 213 amps at 1500rpm. just need to get me some 2/0 guage and go to town, i will have a work log when i start, keep your eyes open! LOTS OF FIBERGLASS
be careful when working with fiberglass, that sh!t can be very itchy. Believe me, i was itching for a few days because of the FG box i made...
so cut a couple holes in the rear deck and attatch the 4 in tubes to the deck? thats what i thought but wasnt sure. then i could prolly put some speaker grill cloth over it to make it real fancy and stock lookin, right? i would need to factor all that into the tuning frequency tho right? and speakin of frequency. how many cubes, and what should it be tuned to? 5 or 6 cubes to 33Hz? i will take pics of the trunk tomorrow for everyone to get an idea of how HUGE this trunk is!
ok well wheever u 2 are, PLEASE HELP! lol, actually take ure time, no big hurry. i aint gettin this stuff for a while. prolly mid or late summer
you will have to factor at of that into the tuning though. you can also surely put speaker grill cloth over the port coming out of your rear deck. you have plenty of time for designing. what are you planning to fiberglass?
i went to that store and all i seen was DVC 10's. i got to the $75 part and i stopped cause it costs 80 from sonics for 2. ill post pics of the trunk here very soon.
