You got it. I removed the RCAs that i had coming out my output though. I just had extra RCA wires I thought I'd might use it. Guess it doesn't make a difference.

so you took it out already? is the amp still going into protect?

yeah i took out that extra rca cable. I made sure all my wires are securely connected and not touching. I haven't driven long enough for it to go into protect yet (i had about a 15 minute drive today). Probably this weekend I'll be driving 40+ miles in one trip so I'll let you know how it goes.

Less than 5 minutes of driving today, my amp shut off again. Maybe it was because my car was sitting in the sun all morning and noon? Pretty disappointed. Time for a new amp I guess. I'm actually thinking about loosing my subwoofers and just running just an amp and getting after market speakers (always been on my list of things to buy). It's just an option I'm thinking about. Any amps (along with speaker suggestions) you recommend for that? I'm looking for a crisp clean clear sound with some bass.

what is your gain set too? and what is the head units bass setting on?

try this if possible. run one sub for now and see what happens.

weird cuz he probably only running the amp at 4ohms. it shouldn't be doing that.

Maybe the first mistake was sony?

yeah, i'll probably be looking for a new amp and some new speakers to go with it. I got what i paid for with Sony. I wouldn't want to stick with an amp that can't handle two subwoofers or that i can't play too hard. I don't think my gain is set high, but I haven't checked in a while. If you guys have any recommendations for an amp less than 200, let me know. Thanks guys.
