Did I see 9 cu ft?????????????????

What in the world is that gonna fit in???

That size would easily justify three or four woofers. And a Chev Tahoe

Everyone I know will tell you that I LOVE big boxes, but there is a limit to my madness and you passed it. ^_^

I think a box that big will work, but take advantage of the size, use more than one woofer. I see 3 5-inch vents (where are you gonna find 5-inch diameter vents) so that will easily justify 3 woofers. The graphs look good, so according to BassBox it will work. I personally have used up to a 7.5 cu ft box for a single 15 and it worked, but thats the biggest box I've ever built for a single speaker ( not counting my van, competition only).

In just curious, what does MTX recommend?

i only ran it through once so far but the excursion and vent velocity wouldn't come down until i made the box bigger

the 9500 series don't have much sound quality compared to the 13Av.2

The MTX sub is more towards power handling and SPL.

The 13Av.2 is designed for SQ with good power handling and output.

I plugged it into WinISD...if it were me I'd do a 3 cu ft enclosure (net displacement) with a 14 in by 4 inch slot vent tuned to 35Hz. Vent velocity is not too high

what is wrong?? Looks like the vent velocity is way high for that sub in Bassbox.

For me in WinISD with a 3 cu ft box tuned to 35Hz with a 14 by 4 inch port...the vent velocity is only at max 64ft/second at 35Hz

you have all your TS parameters wrong

Thats why the sub isn't modeling well

In post #170 at the bottom of page 17.

    The Vas is wrong.

Ok after coverting a lot of those specs they are right but the vas is wrong.

    I dunno....I'm modeling up the 13Av.2 fine
