box, what's with the plot crosshair thing that you move, am i looking for a certain frequency at 0 decibles where the wave crosses?

that cross hair just tells your the frequency and decibles.

For the input power enter however many watts of that ORION amp you are gonna push to that sub

how is the excursion with the power you are going to feed it???

Use WinISD excursion graph..it shows you your xmax and the actual cone excursion...I'm sure that sub has more than 18mm of xmax

Cool thanks, will try more with winisd to see if i can get that info, this bassbox pro doesn't have excursion as far as i can see but it is very nice, shows the individual pieces you need with measurements and everything. Cool. Does this look good besides the excursion part? The tuning within range?

well, i think my design is almost complete!! I want to have the sub facing my back seats because they fold down, have the ports firing through the rear deck where i will remove the 5x7s and that way i can mount the amp on the back of the box on the trunk side, Yes? No? Maybe? lol

ohhhhhh......lol ok the sub has over 1 inch excursion Xmax so i guess i can't go past that red line? This design is wrong?

hmmm, only way i can get this sub to go below the xmax is to go sealed

Don't worry about going beyond xmax....it only goes out of control at really low frequencies and a lot of power...but impedance rise and such will lower the power going to the sub...I wouldn't worry about it at all.

You have a MAJOR design flaw....take a look at the Rear Port Air Velocity with that power to the sub with those two 3 inch ports....PORTS ARE WAY TOO SMALL

I would use ALTEAST one 6 inch diameter port or two if you can

Gotchya, cool Thanks, I'm getting there! I guess i can cut the crossover at 28hz or something so the speaker won't go crazy below that. Ya i though the vents were small but that's what the program suggested. The orion sub's FS is 30.98hz or something like that, should i try and match that frequency with the ports?

I'm not sure how you did it but you should have an excursion screen available.

Cool, so cone excursion and cone displacement are the same. Thanks! wooooooooo this program is sweet!! Where the curve fades color, does this mean basically don't worry about the faded out part of the curve? lol does that make sense?
