yes, but it says 1.. is it refuring to box size, volume for 1 sub? or does that even change? When I started a new run, I put 4 drivers... Jus wondering if it's showing the information for 1 driver since it says [1] sealed

[1] is the number of windows that you have open. If you are running more than one analysis to compare different boxes, they will be [1],[2],[3],...,[n] where n is the total nunber of analysis you are running.

If you are running more than one anaysis, go to Plot and click on Change. This will let you change the color of the different graphs so you can tell them apart.

Ooh yes, I understand it, just messing around with this. I see that a vented would be a better choice then a sealed. A sealed is more then likely what I am going to be getting, so should I try and make it as big as possible with as much insalation as I can?
Don't think I have enough room for a vented

Actually you have over 3 cu ft. So I would reconmmend porting. I just picked a speaker from my data base, but what you want is a smooth curve with a slight peak over 0 dB. I usually like to get the peak around +3 dB for the best sound.

This curve was made using a box size of 3 cu. ft with a port tuning of 40 Hz. I used 2 4-inch ports, vent velocity is very low so the results should be great

I recommend very little stuffing in a ported box

Yes it is, the GNX is an older series about 3 to 5-years old if I remember right.

what determines the tuning of the box, is it by how big the port is? Like if i had the same box and changed ports in it i would i be changing the tuning frequency of the box? I know you can change it in the software i guess 30-40 hz is best? Hey ranger want to build a box for me and ship to canada lol. Looks like a lot of work. You are pretty good with that jigsaw lol.

Port tuning is a function of the diameter and the length of the port. Box size determines what size or length of port that we need. Speaker has nothing to do with tuning.

You should see in the tuning equation below that no speaker specs are needed. The only thing we need is r = radius of the port, Vb = volume of the box and Fb = the desired tuning of the box.

One rule that I use is use the largest port that will fit in the box as long as the cross sectional area of the port does not exceed speaker Sd

Almost forgot, the minimum diameter of a port for a perticular speaker is given by the equation below. Fb = the tuning frequency that we will use and Vd is the volume displacement of the speaker in CUBIC METERS. Now if you are using 2 speakers multiply the volume displacement of the single speaker by 2.

This formula gives us the minimum vent diameter

Yes efficiency and SPL are the same

No!!! not a good graph. The graph indicates that we need to adjust box size and/or type of enclosure. The graph should roll off smoothly, instead it rolls off at around 28 Hz then begins to climbs again aroung 15Hz. The graph indicates that there are 2 F3 points. Not good. Increase you box size (double it) and change your tuning frequency to something over 35. See if that smooths out the curve

how much power did you enter into the signal input??
