those 18 BTLs can take 4000 watts if the power is clean and the amps are each seeing a 1 ohm load.

Even the guy who owns sundown said he tested a 18 BTL with two 1500D's strapped at 2 ohms for hours at full tilt without any problems with the sub

hmmm, ok i guess lol. I don't know about them, only going by the specs. This is what i came up with, not sure how accurate it is, had to estimate a lot of the inputs. Maybe you can check it out on winisd if you get a chance.

yea looks good i wonder y mine came out all funny but hey electro do me a favor see what you come up with giving each sub about 12-13 cubes after displacement 6 is not gonna be enough room for them i dont think
they reccomend 5 a piece as a minimum

i also heard that they can take 7000 clean watts and in the great 12 challenge they took 10kw for 30 secs

nice. ok well i know some of my specs are off but it's the only way i could get everything to go green in the inputs. So it seems like anything over 6.5 cu feet for both subs it doesn't gain anymore dbs, it seems to like 6.5 for both. Like i said though i had a hard time inputting the specs so it's not totally accurate, some are missing so it makes it difficult to input into bassbox. If you could find more specs on the fi's it would be more accurate.

Ask him for the thiele parameters, bl motor strength and stuff, it's just like what you posted but with a few more specs. I don't know which tuning would sound better but 40 hz is louder and like a happy medium lol. Like azn says most music is way above 30 hz.

Eh...some people are stuck on tuning low like 30Hz for everything....some people are stuck with tuning at 33-34Hz....some people like tuning 40Hz...its just different tastes.

Normally I like tuning at 40Hz...its loud and hits low enough.

My loud ass ported 15 box tuned to 40Hz with 112.5 sq inches of port played "White Girl" by USDA fine...and that song hits low

yea i like listening to guccii mane, 3-6, and jeezy not really worried about the meters but what would sound louder to the ear 32 or 40 hz just my question im more of a demo my vehicle guy then go to comps but i will have my all out bass race comp vehicle too though

so jut for daily what would put more impression on the ear lower or higher 30s the most i would go is 42hz though so let me know your opinion and whe i come home u guys will definately see vids of enclosures tuned to 32 36 and 40 hz

i think the higher the hz the louder i would be. look at the spl monsters....all tune to very high to get the 180+ spl....not musical but with that being said...so they must be on to something. the higher th hz...the higher the spl the louder the system... so tuning around 40 would be louder than tuning to 32. You could download some test tones and play them and hear for yourself. I did that to see what MY car liked...what was the loudest. For my Volvo it was around 43Hz. That is where my eyes were bouncing around in their sockets...lol. So i tuned my box to 38.

That's a good idea, i'm going to burn a cd tonight of all the frequencies with each one named so i can find what my car's ambient wave of power frequency is LOL. I've been trying to pick it out of the music i have been playing and the car seems to rattle the most on very low notes and less power, i'm thinking it's between 28-34 hz, does this sound right for a taurus anyone? lol Oh ya i've been driving around and the stereo is like pumping extra nice for a 100 watt amp and crappy kenwood speakers lately so i open the trunk and the sub box has slid right to the back of the trunk with the subs firing up. It's a huge difference just where that box is placed. You would think that the closer the box is to the front would be louder but it's not lol

I've found that pushing the box closer the the back bumper is louder most of the time.

I'm not sure what your cars resonant freq is...make a big sealed box and play a sweep and find out.
