braid, if the elemental design sub is only 55 bucks with a forum discount then i would get that instead.

It's a 10 inch woofer at 4ohms. you could either make a box for it or buy one from the elemental designs site.

 

correction, it's only an 8 inch. if that is too small for you then just get the kicker..

 

Well at the beginning of this thread you said you wanted some nice low end fill....nothing earth shaking.

So this sub in a small ported box will do just that and more.

Have a local shop or carpenter build you a box...we can even help with the design and cut sheet for you.

 

Well the eD sub is a better sound quality sub than the kicker is. I think you should take that into consideration. But it you want more BOOM then you may want to go with the kicker.

 

I would go for the ported box for the ED sub

 

i've got a kicker 10 and it does great in either a ported or sealed box.

sq or boom.sounds great.its been said here alot.any good sub in a box built for said sub and properly crossed over will always sound great
