they had that box at frys electronics... and I put it on with the kicker 1000.1 and it was hitting pretty hard.
they had one w/ a 2 ohm load and one w/ a 4 ohm load, I must have just copied the 4 ohm specs instead
lol no, i read the tracking info wrong, should be next week for sure but i hooked up another amp a bit more powerfull and she's pumping ok, breaking in the sub getting ready for 2200 watts of poundage!!!
I'm kind of glad it's not here yet, i have more 1/0 gauge to install and i have a low thumping sound now, i think it's coming from the deck. Will find out tommorow.
I think I changed my mind once again, how does this sound? 1 12" Kicker CVX 2-ohm 1500W Sub in a Kicker Ported Box sound? It gives 750RMS which is 50 watts lower than the 2 CVR's combined but I found the CVX sub w/bow for like $50 cheaper Will it basically sound the same or better or worse?
1 12, will for sure not be as loud as 2, you will have 1/2 the cone area. i would go with the dual loaded kicker comp vr box, those comp vr's kick some ass for the money!
remember that adding another identical sub does not equate to twice the sound. You actually get around 6 - 18% by adding another sub. If space is an issue, concentrate on one very good sub, and you will be happy.
yup ^^ i like my one 10 way better than the 2 orion 12's. deeper bass ftw. i'm sure in a better box those 12's could do better. louder is not always better.
