I go back to school Jan 7th, so I plan to be done Jan 6th lol. I'm not working tomorrow so I'm going to try to get as much done as I can without having the 1/0 gauge and the alternator.

The resin on the port piece and in the box are drying in the garage. The port opening at the bottom of the box was exactly 3" like I had planned, but at the top it was like 2-7/8", because the left side piece of the box wasn't at a perfect 90 degree angle... more like an 85 degree angle. I crammed a block of wood a hair bigger than 3" long in the top of the port then poured the resin. Hopefully the resin will hold the left side in that position. If not, I'll use the same block of wood to hold it there, then attach the top piece, and the screws will hold it there. (The block is temporary people)

The amp rack is finished... might not look pretty, but it gets the job done.

    Thanks guys.

I took the old enetic 1/0 gauge out today... getting ready for the knukonceptz. I'm working on a better location for my ground in the trunk (for the batteries) too. I've been on a crownvic forum trying to figure out the best location.

    Okay, the guy said:

Any idea where the hell he's talking about? the back of the seats is just crappy sheet metal and the shelf I'm putting my amp rack on is my gas tank, so I can't drill there...

Here's another picture of my car.

What he means is run a ground wire and zip tie it to your frame..then run it up through the wheel well to the d-block.

    I think.

Hmm.. so what would I do to protect a copper ring terminal that's on the outside of the car bolted to my frame?

I mean drill a big hole and run the wire INSIDE

if you want to bolt it to the frame though I'd bolt it don't really tight THEN spray a bunch of undercoating over it to sealed it up...just make sure you clean the area though

Bah, now I'm just getting confused. Azn where exactly would you bolt this ground ring terminal to? (if you can see it in the picture put a dot)

I have one in my possession... but it's three 4 gauge in, one 1/0 gauge out.

    Which would you do?

wire the batteries in parallel and they just ground one of them to the chassis

I'm wiring them in parallel, linking all three battery negatives together... and my front battery is obviously grounded to the chassis already... but I was told I should also ground my rear 2 batteries to the chassis as well to be safe.

Oh yeah, and I've been ****ing around with t nuts for like an hour and I just can't get them to work right. Do you think I'll be okay if I just use 2" coarse thread wood screws?

screws work just fine...dont worry about it

how are you installing the t-nuts??

I drilled the holes and I've been hammering them into the backside of the baffle. Here's the problem: The t-nuts obviously are wider than the actual screws, and I didn't want to drill a hole bigger than the screw all the way through the baffle in case I decided later to not use them. Unfortunately, I can't use a bigger bit and just drill a little bit from the inside of the box because my drill won't fit inside my box. Then, I finally got one in, but when I put the screw through, it just barely doesn't make it into the t-nut and pushes the t-nut right out of the hole. I did eventually get one to work, but who knows whether or not the t-nut will stay in there when the time comes to put in the sub.
