ohh and the resin give the box a lot more strength than the glue

what makes resin dry is a catalyst...glue just has to wait for the water to evaporate and dry lol.

forgot to say...if you ground the amps to the battery and then ground the battery to the chassis...the amps are essentially grounded to the chassis...so if you do ground the amps to the battery make sure you have a very good large gauge ground for the batter

so if its cold it ill take a loooong time to dry right?

yes...resin takes a long time to dry when its cold...glue takes forever to dry anyways if you pour a big puddle of it

i would assume it would slow down the drying time.

Well it's 65-78 degrees here lol. Do I just buy resin and pour it in? I don't know anything about fiberglass and all that.

there should be directions on how much catalyst to add to the resin

then mix it up and pour

Okay thanks. Hey what do you guys think of this... a guy on my crownvic forum was saying this:

okk and whats his suggestion then cuz that is pure BS

Thank you. The other guy was like and you definitely need a cap. :bash:

His statement is not pure BS.

It is true...but only about weak alternators.

If you already have a strong alternator than adding an extra battery will not hurt.

If you have a weak alternator that can barely keep up with the system then adding another battery IS another load on the alt.

Also he is retarded by saying you need a cap

Well I got a Mio C320 navigation system from my grandmother... so sick. Now I need to figure out where to mount it... dashboard or windshield.

Well my batteries should be here today. I ordered 40 feet of knukonceptz kolossus 1/0 gauge wire this morning. My alternator should ship out today, but we'll see. I'm going to try to get the resin 45's done today. I may start building my amp rack today too.

Well to make a long story short, my new hc1800 won't fit under the hood under any circumstances. I'm trying to figure out what to do...

Relocate both hc1800's to the trunk and have no battery under the hood?

Put both hc1800's in the trunk and use my duralast gold under the hood?

Use one hc1800 in the trunk, use the duralast gold under the hood, and return one hc1800?

keep the duralast in the front and put both batteries in the back

Alright. I need a relay then right? Do I put the relay between the duralast and one of the hc1800's, then keep the hc1800's in parallel without a relay?

I was told by some SPL guys that I should just wire them all in parallel and I'll be fine. I asked about the batteries killing eachother and they said that can happen if it sits for weeks, but in my case I should be fine.

Well I fiberglassed 45 degree wedges in my port and in another corner of my box.
