you know you are supposed to apply some epoxy or super glue to the t-nut so it doesn't fall out???

also you don't have to hammer them in...use a C-clamp, its easier lol

Well as you all know by now, it takes me forever to finish anything lol. I PMed Ranger about the placement of my 2 vertical braces, but he hasn't replied and I'm impatient.

Where do you think I should attach those vertical braces?

middle of the box on the sides of where the magnet would be...those would be the two areas most prone to flexing

How close? Aren't you supposed to be keep things like 3-4" away from the magnet? And I'm wondering about the left brace near that port opening...

Ugh, this is a nightmare. 2 of the 8 holes (the ones I attempted to use t-nuts on) are too big for the wood screws now. Then another 1 of the 8 holes is too close to the edge to use a t-nut on even if I want to.

Should I just turn the sub so "Fi" is at like a 45 degree angle and use wood screws... give it kind of a retro look? lol

Alright, the old alternator is off and I bought a new belt for $20. I also got two 1/0 gauge ANL fuse holders and fuses today. The 1/0 gauge should be here today. Hopefully the alternator will get here too.

So much for "bolts on with no modifications"...

The outlet on the new alternator is on the wrong side and it doesn't match the plug my car has.

Any idea where I can get a plug that will fit into my new alternator?

Only thing I can think of is splicing the wires together....soldering them

I emailed Nate. We'll see what he says.

Maybe, but the wire still isn't long enough to reach the outlet thing on the wrong side.

Alright. We've figured out the problem. My car has the police option 135A alternator instead of the normal 130A alternator, even though it was never a police car. Apparently they are completely different alternators. I'm sending the alternator back to Nate and he's sending me the new one.
