Kvo, look what i found... http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/classifieds/65475-re-xxx-components.html
Kvo, I just came from my local DLS dealer Guess what, they have a new line of components for SPL lovers. DLS X-Program X-SB62. I listened to them and they are LOUD and really CLEAN! and the price isn't hefy at all. They were selling here for $265. Dude, they are really clean. I know that DLS is based in florida for the U.S. sales so you should have a lot of dealers around you. Listen to them, you may like their sound. If my Focals don't fit in my car i'll get them. Check out the specs: Woofer size 6,5" / 165 mm Power handling capacity 100 W RMS / 400 W peak power Tweeter 28 mm soft dome Frequency range 30 Hz - 25 kHz Sensitivity 91 dB / 1W / 1m Crossover point (Hz) 4 kHz Outer diameter of woofer 165 mm / 6,5" Magnet size 110 mm / 4.33" Mounting depth 72 mm / 2,83" Mounting hole 145 mm / 5,7" Crossover 6 dB LP / 12 dB HP here's the link: http://www.xprogram.com/en/car/prod.html?produkt=en_672
thanks for the product suggestion man. when i have some time, i need to get out to hear a few of these component sets. they have one on oakland park blvd, so i'll try to check it out some time soon. just need to find some time first hmm if i get this one, you think the nine.4 will be ok for it?
the nine.4 would be okay as long as you bridge the amp. I'm just trying to throw a lot of options out there for you cuz i really don't know your taste in components. with the Polk, focal, and the RE XXX should give you enough choices. all have very different characteristics.
yeah, the DLS are rated at 100watts rms but they can take 150 i'm sure at least that's what the dealer told me. just be conservative with the gain.
i called a shop named "audio sutra" because they are an auth dealer of dls and left a voicemail about wanting a demo last week. still no answer
hmm, that sucks!!! that's a funny name. nothing on the focals? the polyglass line should be good for you. They get loud with not a lot of power. kinda hard to tame the tweets though but the clarity is awesome.
