man azn i just noticed how much room you have in the back or your suv.if i had that much i would be able to have a big ass box and run all 3 of my PG amps and the PG eq.

I'll try to get my box that Ranger designed for me back from my friend tomorrow and take some pics...this other box really DOES take up all the room

But pedro, I still carry sh!t in the back...gott have room for bags and coolers.

It is also a bitch to take it all out when I need to go get more wood to build another box.

thats why i took my amps off of my box.so i can make room for things like groceries and stuff. let me show you how much room it takes up fireing it rearwards.

    will post pic soon

Nice azn, how is that Aperiodic Bi-Chamber Subwoofer Enclosure ! you made with rock music, like metallica , i was thinking of tuning mine around 30hz FS also but with 41hz on the other.

    so hows this work?

I mean tunning a box.... higher hz for rock and lower for rap?

I'm not sure how it works...it just has two different port resonances...the DIYsubs site doesn't really get into the specifics but I really like type of box design...may fiddle with another ABC box for my old school JL 12W6

It sounds pretty good on all types of music...for rock the kick drums are pretty prevailent but nothing compared the boxes capability to hit the lows...my guess is that it has a peak between 25-35 hz where the lows are just crazy for one 12.

I'm this box could hit reeaallly hard with 500 watts.

My spring break is next week

Well in my explorer the subs will still sound loud if facing up...when facing rear the bass doesn't sound as good while the hatch is open.

But yeah for one 12 that mother beats hard

Copper terminals, no gold plating....good boy!

Thanks for the video's. You did a fine job on that box....

heres a hint for your ports to make them look better. Using a router with a radius bit, set the depth to where the radius is just below the port, this will give you a nice round edge to cut the carpet out!

Oh ya, post video of your girlfreind!!!!!!!!Tell her The Viking is an old pervert and wanst to see her do a booty dance!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!:D

Yeah...screw gold plating. I like straight up copper terminals from a welding supply store or hardware store.

I am going to make an MDF ring to go around the ports with about a 1.5 inch width all around and round it out really nice...kinda like an aero port. Then finish the box in bedliner.

My Type R setup sounds weak because I remembered that the box is a prefab and the mounting holes are big...there are some major air leaks...you can hear em in the vid of them lol

Viking...during spring break next weak I'll work on a video of my girlfriend haha
