wait.. sorry about that, i'm sick right now so i can't really think straight.. it's not one seat. lol... it's 2 so your right... but one seat is kinda like a bucket set on the passengers side and the is a bench. so i guess that's a 60/40?

I have 2 elemental designs 13Ov.2's. They're 12's... My amp for my subs is also elemental designs. it's an eD NINe.1.

Hey, I found some used 16Ov.2's (15" subs) on the elemental designs forum... $100 each! Not a bad price for those subs... they are used but all the guys on this site are straight shooters so you won't be getting any crap from them.

there's also a nine.1 for sale there too. not sure if it's sold yet but it looks good for $215. 4 years left on the warranty...

I box for the 2 subs... people around here usually build their own boxes. I'm sure someone on this forum will help you with a design once you get your subs..

Building a box isn't very difficult at all if you have the right tools. You'll need a drill at least and a saw if you wanna do your own cuts and some way to cut out the sub opening (i use a jigsaw). But Lowe's, or Home Depot, will make all the cuts for you so you just have to glue and screw them together. There are some good build threads in the enclosure section go check it out and you'll see what to do.

Also those eDs would be real nice. They are a great company and their customer support is absolutely fantastic. Also it might be worth calling eD and seeing if they have any "b-stock" 16Ov.2s. B-stocks just have cosmetic defects like maybe a scratched magnet but nothing that hinders performance.

Ok one more thing. If you do a custom car package with eD you can get 2 dual 4 16Ov.2s and a nine.1 amp for $680 and free shipping, just sayin. Then you would need wiring and probably a sheet of mdf, so for around $750 you'd be set to slam

Yep yep they do. I don't think thats what he is looking for though, the sub would be sorta pointless to him.

There are a ton of good speakers for highs and mids. Phoenix Gold is highly suggested around here for the more budget friendly. Kicker has some good comps too. And yes most people here do install their own equipment. It's not as difficult as you think really and, unless you have some GREAT shop locally you are better off doing it yourself and it will be cheaper.

highs and mids ? not familiar with what that means... i was reading around the net, and i seen something called "SPL"... from what i took from what people were saying was that spl is like a sub for bass(i guess more for like rap music and stuff, i'm not 100% sure tho) i'm looking for a sub like that. a sub that has atleast 500-600rms, so i can get 2 of em... i'm going to look into the phoenix gold subs... so far, i'm kinda leaning away from audiobahn, and i'm looking more into gettin some hifonics or elemental designs subs...

as far as installation, i have this connect that works for this shop called "the Stereo Shop". not sure if it's a shop only in my area or what, but he give's my friend and i some good deals. i'm trying to learn how to install and build boxes tho, so i can save ALOT more of my money.

Highs and mids are the smaller speakers (5.25s, 6s, 6.5s, etc). Phoenix Gold makes good speakers for those applications but there subs aren't really highly regarded to my knowledge. Hifonics are a good brand and make some nice subs and amps also. And SPL is what you said, loud bass period.

ok, sounds good... i think with all the help u guys gave me, i can find all the stuff i want for around 600-700, MAYBE even a little less...

how about in-dash dvd units ? i made a topic, but got no feedback... i've been lookin at pioneer, kenwood, clarion, and eclipse. my friend has a pioneer avh-p5000( i think thats the model) and its great. i'm lookin at the avh-p4100. if u guys have any recommendations, let me know. thanks
