    I know most of the equations, I use programs for many fast changes. For one simple change I use the calculator.

    Azn is right, I am a mathematics major at Abilene Christian University. I am currently in my senior year, 3 classes to go and I'm done.

    We need two equations, one for port diameter and one for port length

    The equation for port diameter gives the minimum recommended port size for a perticular tuning frequency. Now are these equations quadratic?

    Almost forgot
    r = the radius of the port
    Vb = box volume in cubic inches
    Fb = tuning frequency
    Lv = the length of the port in inches

    Dv = the diameter of the port in inches
    Vd = the volume displacement of the driver in meters cubed
    Fb = the same as above

    no...i don't think those equations are quadratic. But look fairly simple if you can just memorize some variables

    Are you sure that this cannot be put in the form ax^2 + bx + c ?

    I think it can, which makes it behavior predictable. Which means that we can make minor adjustments quickly with out much in the way of calculations.

    Hint Fb and Vb are constants, or Fb and r are constants, now can you get it in the right form

    Ranger...lol this makes my head hurt. Hell I took precalculus again for the second time this year.
