yes the polks still live.i'm just doing some deadning behind them,and i'm turning the one on my side right side up.those tards at CC installed it upside down when i got them.you just dont know how mad it made me every time i looked at it.

i'm also going to buy a sheet of thin plywood to mount the amp/s to and carpet it.it will also hide the wireing under it.

i'm hoping my bud will be home to cut it.it should be a breeze since i'll have the false floor as a template.

it only looks like a mess cause i stored all the panels in the truck then took the pics.

 

man i cant sleep!! but its also too early and cold to start working on the truck.

man i'm thinking....if i deside to sell my amps and subs of which i have alot of now.lol.

i'm not sure if it would work well for the fronts.dont remember the xover value.i had to buy some diodes to make it work.didnt have those when i got it.

 

update. i got all the speakers re wired and put in.the only thing i have to re install is the rear drivers side storage/armrest thing.

ground is done.power wire done.amps will go in tomorrow. front seat will also go in,but not the rear.not yet.

doors have also been deanend,radio is also back in and dash put back together.

will post picks later tonight.i have to get ready to go out.takeing my mom out for dinner

 

well i did the metal behind the speakers.the rest still had the vapor barrier.

i went over it.if not i would have a gapping hole with the window moter exposed.

i bought a little roll for 13 bucks.was 9" x 33'.used it all up and had some left for the tail gate.

will have pics up soon.just got back from dinner.we went to the hard rock casino.had dinner and gambled a little. left with $85. not too bad.considering dinner cost 103.00

so i made out ok.lol

 

so thats what i did so far.all the wireing looks like that.zipped every 6-8 inches.wires are coming out from the rear corners of the hatch

 

i may only hook up the 4ch and run the fronts and kicker till the NINE.5 shows up.

i wonder if it will get here before i work on thursday?hope so

 

dont forget to clean the surface first. i put it on all the panels that rattled a little.it went from a buzz to a thud sound.

and for the rear speakers i just wrapped the opening and did a little around it,and the rear fender a bit,just to quiet some road noise.

 

mine had no problems sticking at all.i put a peice on and tried to pull it off,and it wasnt coming off without a fight. lol


ok i'm done.it sounds good. nice and quiet. doors have a bit more punch to them. enough to notice.

i'd take a pick but it looks the same.will get the wood cut when the amp shows up.it only needs to be around 28 x 32-36 or so.

i did one thing wrong though.the wires are coming in from either side. they need to come in from the back so the wood floor will cover them up. that way the floor wont have to be this huge piece of wood the size of the cover.

 

oh man dont get me started on my last rca cables.i bought them for 18 bucks for a 4ch set.they were the cheapest pieces of crap,but i couldnt return them.not even exchange them.they looked ok but just had a cheap feel to them
