didnt orion make some one ohm hcca speakers? ID has 2 ohm mids I think as well...i would think there would be more to satisfy the "high current" amp setups... FWIW...I would do cleansweep..
yuh i pretty much decided the cleansweeps prob what im gonna do, for the mean time its an damn rca speaker adapter to make my subs work and the old blows speaks for the car... thanks alot guys i really appreciate it!
duh... i had to rewire my entire car myself. also funny story so today i went to the dealer to have a newer caddy radio with a single slot cd player installed to get my wheel controls back and rds (which i think is kewl lol) so i walk in tell them the hu is from a 98 and not available on the 97. the 98 has theftlock which i need cleared to use the radio. they spend about 2 hours workin on it and had no idea how to get it to work. they come up to me and say can you talk with our tech, i say sure. i walk over and the guys like ive been looking all over in our manuals and this radio is not listed for use in 97 so he cant bring it up to clear in his tech 2. i told him i spoke with the service advisor and the radios from 98 i installed it myself because i hated the 12 disc changer in the trunk and only had a cassette deck up front. he says he cant find the theftlock option on his tech 2 to clear it so i say well yea it wasnt available in 97 so it wouldnt be. i then have to walk him through it and explain go in to the tech 2 have it list as a 98 and then clear the code. sure enough he enters in 98 and there pops up theftlock and displays the old vin and my cars vin, guy clears the code and it works like a charm. the best part is this bose hu is 100X better than my old bose hu which is almost the exact same except as i said it had only a cassette deck (no single in dash cd player was available in a caddy in 96 and 98), it has rds, and theftlock. i just thought it was really funny that im 19 and im paying them 42 bucks to unlock my radio when all they provided is the tech 2 to do it with. i taught caddy techs ahaha
