    LOL!!!!!

The burnt wood is from deflections in the blade by not pushing the saw/wood through straight!!!!

    LOL!!!

Its OK.....We all dont have a nice big table saw with a 54 inch fence and a nice big outfeed table....you are doing fine easy!

What if I did this for bracing? Would that be better? I found out my jigsaw can do 45 degree cuts.

Too many critics, the burning thing I didn't even mention because it was not that important. :p

The 45-degree braces (in my opinion) to much work not enough benifit. Much to difficult to secure in place.

And doing this [IMG] won't affect sound? I mean it almost looks like an extension of the port? Should I cutout the middle of the braces for air to pass through or something?

I think I'm going to cut up an old 1" thick broom handle and use the pieces for bracing lol.

Well I ended up bracing it like this with 3.25" pieces [IMG]

All I have left to do is a little sanding, spray paint the port, and carpet it. I'll be done with the box and post pictures up tonight.

I made myself take the time to sand those brace edges like the port.

Attaching those blocks at the end of the port was a pain in the ass. I tried to glue and screw them in place but I split like 5 of them... even with only 1 screw. Then I tried a tiny finishing nail... same thing. I ended up making them a tiny bit too big and rubber hammering them in, and I used glue of course.

All I have left to do is sand the port, spray paint the port black, then carpet it.

I was wondering... have any of you guys tried little LEDs inside the box to give a faint blue glue out the port?

Excellent Work. You have to predrill MDF. I always use a 1/8th drill bit and #6 2-inch sheet rock screws. (works for me).

I did lol. It still split. The little blocks were .75"x.75"x4.5"

Then the only other thing I can suggest is counter sink, lots of glue and don't over tighten. I have had to do what you've done and it is a pain. But eventually you get it.

Indeed. And no, they don't. I have a hole in my rear deck though.

cool that will work! I have a hole for a 6x9 in the middle too of the rear deck, and 5x7s on each side which i unhooked and will probably take out. My back seats fold down which is nice, i don't have to worry about the sound getting through.

They say to keep it close to the woofer but mine is seperated and i think it sounds great. I kept the factory ford tweeters in the pic.

    6 x 9 mounted backwards???????????????????????/

Easy, I also like the sail panels. So much about stereo is the look. So flush mount. There is an excellent article in last months Car Audio and Electronics about making tweeter sail panels. Its easier than you think.

Your second (not the one on wood) location is also good. But again it should be flush mounted.

????????///// lol, i'm thinking of fiberglassing them in with a small port, they don't fit the other way, the window is right behind it. They are making some nice bass now with the door but still a bit floppy when i turn it up.
