6.281 cubic feet it has already calculated and subtracted the port and speaker displacement.

What are all those weird vent piece dimensions all about though? I'm only using .75" thick MDF, not .125" thick... I figured I'd put the box together like this...

If having 6.3 cubes is what's making this box what it is, I can extend the depth to 24.25" giving me roughly 6.31 cubes.

go with one design or the other, don't mix and match lol, here i didn't notice the vent thing, it changes a little but get same results. Do it exactly, it will be nice.

Okay sweet. I'm still going to position the slot port like this though. No point in cutting extra pieces and putting the port sideways.

So my final dimensions are 43" wide, 14" tall, 24" deep... and a port 12.5" tall, 4.5" wide, and 9.5" long.

i think it's good like that, will be strong anyways. you won't have to brace it. yes those are the dimensions

I'd still brace it. Especially that back wall

Is this box going to do okay on lows? Oh and Azn, how should I brace it? Like a 5" piece coming off the back wall perpendicular?

yeah..it'll do fine on the lows.

a 4 inch deep board on each side of the vent will brace it fine

I'm not sure where you mean but I wound not put any braces near the port.

If you meant on the back wall behind the speaker (as easy suggested) then OK.

Ranger do you think I'll need any bracing?
