How's this look? The port is 12.5" tall x 4" wide x 23.75" long... did I do that correctly how I split it into two ports 2" wide?

I'm going to try 4.5 cubes tuned to 33 Hz...

Should I do 1 chamber with 50 sq. inches of port like that?
Should I do 1 chamber with 50 sq. inches of port... but 2 ports, one on the left side of the box, one on the right, with the subs in the middle?
Should I do 2 chambers with a 4" round port for each chamber?

    Which subs are you getting?

2 inch ports perform differently than 4 inch ports so i would say no, you did it wrong! lol

No subs yet, it's for the CVR12's. I could of sworn Azn told me that's how you do it when your port need to be longer than the box is deep... (1 port, 1 chamber)

    I could do this. [IMG]

If the port is longer then yes you can bend it, but adding 2 2inch ports into one 4 inch port will not give the same results. Make a separate port for each sub and seal the middle of the box so each sub has a separate chamber, then you don't have to worry about matching gains.

Hell, if I go 2 chambers I might as well go one 4" round port per chamber... easier.

I don't think you will have room to do that with the subs, you only have 39" across. Maybe if you put them up in the corners of the box.

Should I do one 12.5"x2" port, one 12.5"x3", or one 4" round port per chamber?

eazy, you have to run it through bassbox or winisd to find out what port size you need for your specific tuning...

I was thinking like this but yours may work too. If you want i can run it through again, just let me know what your dimensions are.

Yeah the length, but any of those would work... they'd just have different port velocities. I think I'm going to do a 2 chamber box with 1 port per chamber (12.5" tall x 2" wide). Each chamber will be 2.25 cubes tuned to 33 Hz. My max width is 39" and the height needs to be 14".
