Viking, by the way, I'm running two cvr12's with two 400.1's in a box 4.5 cubes (probably 2 chambered, 2.25 cubes per sub)... what tune do you think I should do?

hey...sorry, I've been at work all day and was too tired to do anything...I just laid around.

The big three alt to battery wire does not have to be fused if it is ran away from hot or moving parts. Another battery will not help you sustain a HIGHER voltage...it will help if your alt is overtaxed and help keep the voltage above 12.5 volts. It is helpful.

400 bucks for subs is a good start.

How much power at what ohm load do you have G3??

Eazy...tune it to 40Hz and be done...I promise you that you will not be dissapointed

My friend has a couple Memphis 12 inch Mojos in a smallish vented enclosure tuned to 40hz with around 50 sq inches of port...playing a 5Hz tone sounds like a helicopter is coming.

Alright, 2 chambered, 2.25 cubes per chamber, tuned to 40 Hz, each port 2.5" x 12.5" and 17.5" long, ports next to eachother in the center... sound good?

Oh and Azn, can you figure out why I'm getting this message on WinISD Pro Alpha? I tried adding the Kicker 05CVR12 to my list... I took the specs right out of my booklet...

that means you have the parameters wrong, you have to keep messing with them until that warning goes away, usually one or two things wrong will give all those errors. Post the specs for the subs your using, i'll run it through bassbox. Are they single coil subs?

You have to use the Help File Getting Started

Follow the directions for entering new driver data.

    40 Hz.....give or take....

Christ, it aint that critical!!!!!!!!!!! You want it too go BOOM BOOM dont ya?

Then 40 Hz is a nice number......

All these computer programs give you nice idea of how the sub sounds in the box, throw it in the car and everything changes....thanks to Mr. Transfer function...

Years ago, I used a nomogram to find the vent tuning frequency....This was tuning the box for a particular resonant frequency, it did not take into consideration of the driver at all.....90% of the time it sounded very good......

I know i have said that things are critical, and they are, but lets not nit pick over 35 Hz or 40 Hz......for the average sytem, IT WONT MATTER!!!!!!!

You aint lookin for a SQ sytem with what you have, you want it loud and obnoxious!!!!! :D

Here I scanned the book. The subs are dual 4 ohm subs by the way. One going to each 400.1

Alright, I took the 60 rms 5x7's out of the front doors and put them in the rear deck for some rear fill. I'm going to hook those up to the headunit (getting 18 rms each) and the 5.25" components in the front doors/pillars are going to be hooked up to the kicker 350.2 (getting 110 rms each). I'm going to fade it to the front a little bit. I have a question though...

My head unit has bass control for the subs, bass control for the speakers, treble control for the speakers, and fade front/back... is there any way to set the bass/treble level for just the front speakers or just the rear speakers?
