Tell me how that goes with the sub. What would you hook it up to, your nine.1?

Yes...I may buy one this summer and power it with my nine one is a ported box

Because I prolly won't have my 18 incher in there all the time...I like switching around and It is hard to fit a cooler or two in the back along with an 18 inch subwoofer and box haha

Well I got a 20' tsunami elite RCA cable, 6' tsunami elite RCA cable, a 4'x12' piece of carpet, 4 feet of remote wire, and eight 1/0 gauge copper terminals for $65. All I need still is 3/4" split loom, components, fuses, MDF, screws, and precision ports if I decide to use them.

    So here's what I'm thinking...

I think I'm going to build a box like Steve Meades that has an opening on the front for different ports that he can take off and replace with new ones... that way I can try out all sorts of crazy stuff lol.

So azn, what do you think of the removable port idea?

I was thinking some weather stripping, bolts, and t-nuts like these to hold it down...

that would work fine...I want to try out that idea. I don't know how he does it with that small of port area though...he is good

If I were to make a single chamber, what do you think the volume should be, 4.5 cubes? 5 cubes? 5.5 cubes?

Also, one 400.1 is rated at 433 watts and the other is rated at 476 watts... is that okay?

yeah thats fine...just gain match with with a test tone and a DMM

All amps don't put out the same exact power even if they are the same exact model.

    I'd do 5 cubes

Yeah I was thinking 5 cubes also... when the time comes you're going to ahve to explain to me how the hell to use this DMM I bought because it came with no instructions and it has a massive dial with a ton of different settings lol.

Hey what's the best way to round over the edges of the port... I don't have a router.

    Use some sandpaper...maybe a sanding block...and a elbow grease

Do it by hand or if you have an electric sander just use that. I don't have a router either...I'm just gonna use an electric sander, muscle, and time

So I started drilling 3/4" wide holes in the amp rack for the wires. I drilled one and my cordless drill's battery died... I need to drill 22 more...
