    Great news [IMG]

    Well I'll refresh your memories...

    (A few months ago)

My school parking lot has 2 entrances. 1 is locked all the time. Somebody came in the only entrance near my parking spot and ripped my car off. Then a week later they came in and got 5 cars... all in broad daylight in both instances. Then the school locked the 1 entrance near my parking spot and unlocked the other. The other is right next to the school. They figured no one would dare to drive right past the office... they were wrong.

    Now...

My friend was one of the 5 cars that got hit a week after mine. It was an old El Camino with GOODYEAR painted all around it. Well last Friday someone came in the entrance right by the school, drove out to his parking spot (20 yards from mine), broke into his car (which was now equipped with a viper alarm), and hotwired it. They drove right out with it.

He found it yesterday. It was nothing but a frame. No engine. No transmission. No steering column... the only thing left were the rally rims and tires... and the tires were bald from burnouts.

Today I went to the hardware store, bought a bike chain, and locked my hood down. My alarm is setup so if you don't have the remote thing on the keychain, but you have a key, even if you stick it in the ignition with the alarm going off and try to start it... it won't start. You have to press a hidden button as you turn the key... but I don't feel the button is hidden well enough. I think I need to relocate it.

    bad news.........

i,ve had a small leak in my power steering pump for some time now.so i let it go.the other day i started to notice some drips in my drive way,i thought it was my front seal.so i checked the oil it was low but only a little.

so i start to wipe away the grease and grime to see what exactly was leaking and how bad.that was at work.so when i get home it would have had time to leak again.about a block from home(i drive 20 miles to work)the pump starts to make some noise.at home the pump was allmost empty.

so now i really need a pump.it's 79bucks at advance auto.i hope thats all that was leaking.since it was somewhat greasy in that area of the pump only.

    oh well.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with Dex. The reason Dex goes south and gets sludged up is because folks allow it to get low, then that allows air to mix with it while circulating. Radiator caps are a key element with Dex, and like any system, the whole system is not a perfect seal. Coolant does escape. Just, with an obvious leak, it escapes faster.

Cooling system maintenance is key with any coolant, not just the green.

hell a few months ago I had to get a rebuilt steering rack installed cuz I had a major steering fluid leak.

Like first I noticed that the steering was slowly beginning to get stiffer and stiffer and one night it started to make noises like it was waining and grinding.

Go home and see NOTHING in the steering fluid reservoir...I also noticed spots in my driveway before all of this happened and thought it was my brother's friends cars...then I looked underneath and see the drivers side lower A-arm soaked in fluid...so I go to the autoparts store and buy some more fluid and fill her up...was good for a day then checked the fluid and it was gone...tried like 4 bottles of some fluid that was made to stop steering fluid leaks...didn't work...just make the sh!t leak even faster...then a couple days after this I noticed a clicking noise when making turns...checked the front drive axles and the passenger side boot was ripped all the way around and I could see dirt and gunk all in there.

after two weeks of continuously refilling my fluid before school my dad scheduled for it to go in the shop and then we got the 400 dollar bill and it is fixed...passenger side universal joint was all eaten up and new steering assembly

400 sounds like a very fair price.

well i started at 3:30 or so and finished at 7pm.thats cleaning up and checking for leaks and road testing it.
actual repair time was 2 1/2 hours.man that thing was a butt fuker.

i would have started at 1:30 but the the dummy at the store gave me the wrong puller, was too long.it was hitting the radiator.so back to the store for the right one and one more bottle of fluid.holt crap it was dirty around that thing.

so now tommorow its oil changeing time.at least that only takes 1/2 hour or so.i like to run motor flush then fresh oil then after 20 mins i flush that and run the good stuff.this time around i got some royal purple 10/30.

Well I'm thinking about doing a cleaner install. I was thinking about making a box to fit on the back shelf, then attaching a beauty board to the front to make a nice clean wall with the sub and port coming through.

Because the shelf doesn't have enough room and the wall has a strange curve to it, I'm thinking I'll need to have it hanging over the edge a little bit. Something along the lines of this...

is there enough room to have a down fireing sub?that way noone will see any thing when the trunk is open.

also you can maybe chain the box to the rear seat frame just in case.

Yeah I'm sure there is. Would a down firing sub be desirable sound wise?

if its ported like your box now it should be the same.i just suggested it for a visual deterant.so when your trunk is open noone see's anything at all.
