    Here I am...lol

If your 4 gauge power wire is REAL 4 gauge and no flea market crap than you can easily use a distribution block...just make sure it is a fused distribution block.

You can install it yourself easily without having to run any new wires. Take the deck out and crimp the wires going to the front speakers to the wires going to the rear deck speakers...make sure to have the polarity correct. Then from the 2 channel amp, run some short runs to the rear speaker leads. If you ever wanna put some rear speakers than you can wire the speakers in parallel, front left and rear left paralleled, same with right side.

Get the idea....so basically the signal would go from the amp through the rear deck speaker leads to the front and then to the front speakers

Like pedro said...having the treble all the way up is in no way a crossover lol. Pretty much ALL 2 channel amps these days have built in crossovers.

I'd cross em over between 80-120 Hz.

    Hmm....

I've never taken my head unit out before... so this might be interesting lol... which could be good or bad.

The 4 guage wire I have now is tsunami.

Would I be losing any power by having a distribution block?

If the copper in my 4 guage wire is discolored from being exposed to air is this bad?

Oh yeah, I have a question. When I turn my car on, the amp turns on in protective mode, stays in it for 1 second, clicks, then goes to normal. Is this normal?

you won't lose power...4 gauge can safely handle up to about 120-150 amps of current...you are nowhere near that

I usually cut the end off and restrip the wire if the wire is oxidized

hey eazy i was redecorating my hatch.took out 1 of my
M50's.and reconfigured my power set up.
anyways my amps do the very same thing.it's normal then.

so.....my M50 that ran my 10 runs my front stage in 2ohm stereo.my M44 runs the rear fill 6x9's and the 10(still hits hard and deeep).since i moved the amps off of the box and onto the back of the rear seat,it has zero noise.i used to have a little whine that was barely noticable. now its gone.sweet.

now i have the option of removeing the sub for trips.so now am looking for a back up sub.has to be tiny, and i mean tiny.

anyone know of such a thing.....

hey guys quick question what benifits will a line driver give me.

i all ready have zero noise, and my gains are set very low.my head has 5 volts out and the line driver has an 8volt out.
or will it be a waste of money at this point?

oh man i forgot to tell y'all.i went to my buddies house for dinner and his daughters friend is there.you know the one with getto installs.so he asks me if i know how to install a crossover.electronic.i say yeah its easy.he asks how will it sound from the radio cause now he gets distortion from his mids and highs.i ask whats your bass set at?he tells me all the way up,thats why i need a crossover.i tell him he needs to turn the bass down first.so we go to his car.

he has no amp for his mid/highs.and his sub amp is all the way cranked both gain and bass boost.mind you i tweaked it last month, but he got a new amp.a sony. dont remember the model.it was running some sony subs.

after turning down the boost and gain and the bass on the head it sounded much better.he even had the treble all the way down.he said..get this.it gives it more bass with the treble turned down.i had to laugh in his face.

i said to him who ever told you that is dumb straight up.stupid,retarded.
he also thought he could hook up the crossover with out an amp.
cant wait till i see him again and what ever system he has then.

A line diver will not benefit you! If the sound is clean and noise free, there is no need for one.......

Somebody on the lowrider site was saying I should get a 150 amp inline fuse after the battery and (2) 70 amp tube fuses at the block and a block that's (1) 4 guage in and (2) 4 guage out.

    Right now I have a fuse that's 60 amps...

So basically if I got this amp I'd need some 4 guage wire for after the block, the block, possibly fuses... would I need anything else?

Nope...if the run is only a couple feet 8 gauge after the block will do fine....AGU fuses suck...they are cheap and not as good as ANL fuses

Distro blocks with AGU fuses are cheap...ANL fuses have better contact area

150 amp fuse is not necessary...120 is fine and a little more safe than 150 amp fuse...the fuse is there to protect the WIRE not the amplifiers....amps have their own built in fuses.

Can I swap out the fuse holder with an ANL fuse holder by my battery without cutting the wire or anything?

Um...yes if you find one that has inputs for 4 gauge wire.

I would rather get one that has two posts and you use ring terminals

I titally agree with what azn said....about the fuse situation. Good advice azn.
