The smallest rims my car can fit without grinding is 16"... otherwise I'd be rolling on 14" 100 spokes with whitewalls.

Well I was at the local stereo shop getting my alarm fixed yesterday and I was looking at amps...

They had a kicker 100.2 for $99 ($129 installed) and a kicker 150.2 for $129 installed (didn't say how much not installed). I'm thinking about running an amp to my two 5x7's up front. The 5x7's are 60 rms watts. Do you think I should get a 2 channel amp to power the 5x7's?

Do I have to worry about ohm loads like subwoofers? The 5x7's are 4 ohm.

    The 100.2 (rms) is...

    35 watts x 2 chan. @ 4 ohms
    50 watts x 2 chan. @ 2 ohms
    100 watts x 1 chan. @ 4 ohms Low Impedance Operation

    The 150.2 (rms) is...

    60 watts x 2 chan. @ 4 ohms
    75 watts x 2 chan. @ 2 ohms
    150 watts x 1 chan. @ 4 ohms

if crossed over properly the speakers should be able to handle the 150.2 amp.
they both sound like they cost the same installed.129 each

Oh, yeah I have my headunit set so there is as little bass as possible going to the speakers... and I have my treble all the way up.

haveing the treble all the way up is not the same as haveing the right crossover setting.

does the amp have a built in crossover?

Yeah, how do you think they'd install it? Run its own 4 guage power wire? Or use a distribution block at the end of the current 4 guage power wire?

i would ask, cause they would have to run cables for someone who had no amp right?and they will charge you for their wireing kit i'm sure.

also what kind of install do you get for 29.00?you can do a way better job with our help.

Yeah that's what I figured... I was just curious if they'd give me an amp kit and wire it all up with it's own power wire for $129.99... if so I'd probably let them do it... then fix it lol.
