Kicker 750.1 amp...what kind of subs/box?

Good question lol. The people on the lowrider site tend to over do it when it comes to bass... like four 18's pushing 8,000 watts and **** like that... not that I wouldn't mind having four 18's, but I think my car would fall apart. I don't really like the idea of "kick" panels either... they sound like they'd do exactly that. I know my friend would put his size 14 right through one.

If I had the money to buy four 18's and a crapload of amps, I think I'd do something creative instead, like this for example...

Well I have no idea what that means... but does it matter... it's thirty two 6.5" woofers! lol

    Ya, it matters!!!!

    Phasing, time alignment, etc..........

When you have a bunch of different speakers, all firing in different directions, you have issues with the arrival times of the sound at your ears. Not so much with sub bass, but it still matters for the ultimate in SQ and SPL both....

32 subs, and all fired in different directions, looks cool, but i would NEVER do a system that way...I am a purist, a man who wants the sound to be correct. And if it aint correct, even in a SPL car, you will have a disadvantage.

What are the advantages and disadvantages to having two 5x7's and two 6x9's?

These are my 5x7's and 6x9's, hit me straight...

    MTX audio thunder dome-axials 6802
    SPECS:
    6x8/5x7" coaxial
    mounting depth: 2-7/16"
    20mm soft dome tweeter
    power handling: 60 watts rms
    sensitivity (2.8v/1m): 92db
    frequency response: 45hz- 20khz
    impedence: 4 ohm

    MTX audio thunder dome-axials 6902
    SPECS:
    6x9" coaxial
    mounting depth: 3"
    25mm soft dome tweeter
    power handling: 100 watts rms
    sensitivity (2.8v/1m): 92db
    frequency response: 42hz- 20khz
    impedence: 4 ohm

I bought these knowing pretty much nothing about car audio when I was 15.

Yeah, I guess my question is, why would someone buy a 5.25" over a 5x7" if fitment didn't matter?

It is biased really...some people think round speakers sound better while some people think ovals sound better.

for me it's size.if i had a 5x7 opening i would put in the best sounding(to me) 5x7 i could find.the bigger the cone the more sound.

Well I've got one and half pints of rubbing alcohol... I went to the hardware store to get a roller and they were shutting the lights off as I pulled into the parking lot at 7:58... bastards.

Well I have to take the SAT's tomorrow morning at 8. It's supposed to be 67 and sunny tomorrow, do you think that will be warm enough to not use any type of heatgun or hairdryer? So just clean the metal with rubbing alcohol then stick and roller away?

I would use a heat gun or hair dryer to ensure to permanent bond...

    SAT's sucked for me

Well I was at the school for the SAT's from 7:30 am to 1:15 pm... good thing that didn't take long as hell... but I need a 1270 to get a 100% paid for 4 year scholarship to any state school in Florida... so hopefully I did good.

Well I'd like to take this time to thank Ford for creating the most uneven surfaced trunk ever.

Tomorrow is going to be 62 and sunny, so I think I'll clean the trunk in the morning and hopefully start the edead process with a wallpaper roller I bought and a hair dryer. Or do you guys think I should wait until it gets warmer?
