Well actually it's not in the bottom of the trunk, it's in the side, and I have to reach my arm into a tiny hole and reach as far as I possibly can with a ratchet to hold the nut, and I can't fit a screw driver back there so I have to have the nut on that side of the metal.

Okay I just tried using the old ground spot from the first working stereo...I even used a 100% copper terminal and it still didn't work. I think it's the amp.

Call the seller and send it back...thats what a warranty is for.

Sorry man but luck really isn't on your side lol

Okay after 1 email, 2 or 3 ebay messages, and 2 negative feedbacks...they sent me an email saying "Warranty info will be emailed to you shortly."....I waited 2 days. Today I found the number for their company, called them up, waited like 20 minutes on hold, the guy said my amp has the kicker warranty and their warranty. He said he'd send an email on where to send it today, or tomorrow morning at the latest...you can bet I'll be on the phone if I dont get an email by 10 am tomorrow.

Okay I got the email, they said call kicker. So I called kicker, and of course, like I had already expected, they said audiosavings isn't an authorized dealer. They also said they've had a lot of problems with audiosavings...but I guess they felt bad for me because they said just said it on over to them anyway and they'll either fix it or replace it for free. Funny thing was, they said send a receipt from audiosavings. So audiosavings made some phony receipt that said I paid $299.85 instead of like $175 shipped, but they made the receipt so when I printed it out it took audiosavings off the receipt. My dad tried converting it to adobe format and still it wouldn't print audiosavings.....ah, but little did audiosavings know I know how to use the print screen button.

On a better note, I'm getting my car alarm. I'm getting a viper 5000 (also having it wired to the trunk). Also, when I got my car painted blue, they accidentally scratched the bumper putting the license plate back on. This was about 6 months ago. I went down to the shop yesterday when I was bored, and the guy said he'd repaint the scratch and he'd paint the trunk jamb for free, as well as give me a quart of the paint for touchup paint. I'm also getting some 20" 150 spoke chrome rims soon... but I'm a little nervous about buying off of ebay now. I found some 255/35/20 continental contiextremecontact tires (400 AA A ....pretty damn good) for $547 shipped on tirerack.com. I can buy the rims for $590 shipped from an ebay store, or for $530 shipped from a guy on a lowrider site who's sold to literally thousands of people on the site.

I got the receipt to show everything by using print screen, pasting it onto paint, and printing it out. I sent the amp, along with all the accessories it came with, and the receipt to kicker. It' expected for it to arrive there January 2nd.

Ah, after waiting so long to have bass I'm already thinking about upgrading. I need to hear this cvr and 400.1 before I buy more cvr's and amps out of impulse. I don't know what to expect becaue I have no idea how many watts my audiobahn a8000t was really putting out. It was supposedly putting out 800 rms.

I just looked up my old audiobahn enclosed bandpass subwoofer system. It said it had a 4 ohm impedence. The a8000t was 400 x 1 at 4 ohm and 800 x 1 at 2 ohm.

So does this mean I was really getting 400 audiobahn watts?

Prolly more of around 200 watts at 4 ohms...Audiobahn is horribly overrated and they suck balls...What is that amp fused at???

Sundown Audio is pretty good...A mod over at ROE hit 135db with a Subdown 100.2 and two DD 8's in T-line box...thats pretty impressive to me

What can you tell from the picture that would lead you that conclusion? (besides the fact that it says audiobahn on it lol)

I'd get that Kenwood...I really like those KAC amps

Well its Audiobahn and its fused at 60 amps so just a simply math equation like

    60(amps) X 14.4(volts) = 864 watts input

fat chance that amp is 80% efficient but hell give it the benefit of the doubt

    864 watts input X 80% efficiency = 691 watts output

And that is with a perfect 14.4 volt charging system without any voltage dropping lol

Well...I just bought that kenwood amp......after seeing you go through the problem of a defective amp out of the box, figured I better hook it up and check it out.....I have had it for about a month now......

I just hooked it up a couple hours ago.....I love it.....it kicks.....Now I had my Blaupunkt V450 running it prior...Now that is a 4 channel amp that is 4x50w rms or it can be bridged to make it a 4/3/2....in 2 channel (bridged) it is rated at 150x2....I had mine bridged and my sub is DVC 6 ohm paralleled (3 ohm load).....I set the gain way down on the Kenwood and swapped all the stuff over...I noticed a big difference....I set the bass boost on 40hz and turned it up halfway.....balanced sub out of HU and listened....very strong....very deep and I only have one JL audio 10w6.....I recommend it....I love mine and I don't even have it super tweaked yet....
