    What's the strut tower?

The best I can find is 24" and I won't be able to use nut and bolt...only screws...because I don't have access to the other side.

Or, I can do the 18" but my amp won't be attach the anything, it would just be sitting freely on the shelf in my trunk, because the gas tank is right below it. The only other thing I can think of is cutting a large piece of MDF to cover the entire shelf, drill the amp to it, and the spare tire will sit on top of it clamped down...hopefully holding the board still.

On each side of the trunk there will be a structure that comes into the trunk..It will directly above where the rear tire is...The strut is what attatches to the wheel assembly...It will have a coil spring around the outside of it....The top of it will mount to the chassis (the tower)....U should be able to pull the carpet back on the sides and see the tower....In the center it will look like a big bolt with a nut on top and it should mount to the tower with three bolts....It may have a cap so you dont see the big threaded piece....Not sure

I would think so....Looks like it will go through two pieces of structure there..I would think that shold be a good place to ground...

Well pedro if the voltage is a constant 39 volts than the rms power output is around 760 watts rms at 2 ohms...but why won't you enter your sub and box into WinISD and see what impedance it may show at 50 hz lol

Okay good, that's what I figured too. I can now ground under 18". Oh and I trimmed the wires on the sub.

    Couple questions...

Can I leave the carpet over the port hole?

How long do I need to wait for the silicone around the sub wire to dry before I screw the sub in?

I would wait atleast 24 hours for the silicon to dry, cut the carpet flush with the port walls, and yes a shorter ground the better, But use a BOLT AND A NUT DAMNIT!!!!

I am using a bolt and nut lol, relax. I'm not sure how I'm going to hold the nut though... I think I'm going to have to get my friend to do it, his arms are longer...hes 6'5.

But can I leave the carpet over the port hole? The spray paint won't stick to the silicone and it's going to look like ****.

    amp power wire
    amp remote wire
    sub wires to amp

    What's the order?

Doesn't matter..as long as the rca's are last...Just take the inline fuse out and go to town connecting everything...if you take the fuse out it there is ZERO chance of fuking anything up...unless you are a complete retard

Okay, I'm all done. So plug the sub in, then RCA's, then put the fuse back in? Is there any danger putting the fuse back in?

My amp keeps going back and forth from being okay to protective mode... it's like red green red green etc...

and there's no bass coming from the sub.

Check your remote turn on voltage, your power wire voltage, and see what you have. Then get back to us!

I brought my car up to circuit city. He said the remote voltage was 12 continuously without dropping...the same with the power wire. He also said my ground looked good. He disconnected the subwoofer from the amp and the amp still flashed green red green red. He said the only thing he could think of is try scraping more paint off for the ground. He said if that doesn't work, return the amp.
