elmers wood glue.good heavy duty speaker wire.12 gauge?

super 77 spray glue for the carpet.latex gloves.you dont want that spray glue on your hands.it's a bitch to get off without heavey duty cleaner.

i cant think of anything right now.

oh!! pre drill your holes or you might split the wood.this will also guide the screw you dont want them going sideways on ya and pokeing out the box.

lol, just got back from Lowes. The big 49"x97" sheet cost me 20 bucks and they cut all the pieces for free.

Unfortunately, I was an idiot and accidentally old the guy to cut my pieces 14" tall...not considering the top and bottom .75"... so I'm going over my mom's friends house tomorrow and hes going to cut the side pieces 1.5" shorter so the total height is 14".

Was just wondering...I hear mention of doing it with a jig saw.....If you had the pieces pre-cut...That is the best....Get them straight....

Yeah, when my mom's friend takes the pieces down 1.5" he's going to use a tablesaw...he's a carpenter.

I always use Titebond Original...wood glue is wood glue....all of them have the same strength pretty much.

As for speaker wire...16 gauge will do fine...there'll be no difference in 16 gauge or anything bigger

    PREDRILL!!!

Since your moms buddy is a carpenter, borrow his pnuematice crwon stapler...1.5 inch x 1/4 crowns are perfect.....to hell with the damm screws!!!!!! I HATE screwing a box together!!!!!!!!! It sucks, no ifs ands or buts.........and any good wood glue will do fine, elmers, titebond, gorilla glue, ets........ And ya....seal it up with some silicone.........all interior seams and around where your speaker wire goes in......Of course you could cheese it and run the speaker wire through the port!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanna punch people that do that!!!!!!

Okay, I think I'm going to order everything tonight. The amp, sub, wires, etc.

Which CVR12 should I get, the 2005 or 2006...same price. We used the 2005's numbers for the box, but I don't know if the 2006 is any different.

Okay, I need the sub and amp obviously...

but I need 12 gauge subwoofer wire, sound deadening...is there anything else I need to order online? Do I need any connectors or anything? I don't know how the subwoofer hooks up to the amp/ end of amp wires and such from the headunit attach to the amp.

    I'm getting the 400.1 amp. I'm only getting one cvr12, why would I need a 750.1? lol

Okay 16 gauge then. And yeah I figured I'd get edead also...is there going to be a big difference between the v12 and the v1SE2? What do you use for a heatgun for the SE?

When you're picking the voice coil configurations, and you're using the12volts subwoofer wiring configurations... the ohm load you get...should that be the same ohm as the amp performs best at? For example, the amp I'm getting is 400W RMS x 1 @ 2 ohms...does that mean I want the subwoofer wiring configuration to end up being 2 ohm load?...in which case I'd need the 4 ohm dual voice coils?

Or does it not matter and I can wire it to 1 ohm load using a 2 ohm dual voice coil sub?

Make sure you get the dual 4 ohm version than...and get the v1SE2....its better

That amp cannot handle a 1 ohm load...it'll go into protect mode...wire it up for 2 ohms with the dual 4 coils in parallel

    Okay, 2005 or 2006?

What do I use for a heatgun?

How much edead do you think I should get? I want to do the entire trunk, trunk lid, front doors, and possibly the floor if I have some leftover.

I would use a heatgun and a tape measure.

Um...you can use a heat gun or a strong blow dryer.

Also for the trunk, lid, doors and floor...I dunno...you can call ED and ask them how much you'll need...they are very helpful

Either model will do fine...same specs

Not really...but I was asking the same question on the ED forum a while back and everyone was telling me to get the SE...even one of the guys who worked for ED told me to get the SE...its not much more expensive...also you have the FORUM DISCOUNT!!!!
