ANY of those amps should do a fine job. Dont worry about power rating too much, the diff between 50 watss and 70 watts per channel is nothing when you get right down to it....

Do you have a link to the elemtal design amp? I am curious about it...

The ED amp has a 3 YEAR warrenty!!!! WOW!!!

from the looks of that amp, i think it would be money well spent, dual power supplies, killer warrenty, power ratings at 12.5 volts.....i would SERIOUSLY consider that amp.....

Yeah but if it's 65x4 at 12.5V, and it actually runs at a higher volt, and the wattage is actually higher...aren't I going to blow the 60rms 5x7s?

No, you wont smoke them, just dont abuse them. Also you can turn the gain down to help out.......

I din't see anything about dual power supplies, what would that mean anyway?

This is pretty random, but how do Elemental Design Eu-700 D2's sound firing up?
...was thinking maybe subs under the front seats or in the glovebox, or something of that nature.

Dual power supples, basically there are 2 power supplies, one for one set of channels and another for another set of channels, this is a good thing....generally it allows for greater power, more dynamic range, and if they are seperate left/right power supplies, then the utmost in stereo seperation......

holy crap its 10 times louder.i use to run the sub vol at -10.from a -24 to +6 scale.now i have to run it at -20 and it is still very loud, but not over powering.goes very deep too.
now i know where ALL my panels rattle.lol.
will invest in sound deadening when i get more cash. :D

oh yeah and the amps gain is set at less than 1/2 way.

and its crossed over at 100hz,18db per oct.

Well today I was feeling curious so I tok apart my car to try to understand all the wiring circuit city did. One of the questions I have is, where the 4 gauge wire comes in from the engine bay, I guess the firewall, it comes through a tiny hole with a plastic piece around it, did they drill that hole? Or are there more like it?

If I were going to get a 4 channel amp, and keep the wiring I already have in case I got a monochannel for subwoofers... would I be best off to run a second power wire for the 4 channel? Or use a distribution block so it breaks off into 2 in the trunk?

if the wire they put in is thick enough you can split them in the trunk.how thick is it?

Well I got my panasonic headunit and MTX 6x9s installed, and got my 1 clear window tinted again...after it was busted out with a crowbar. I was surprised about the sound quality of the speakers. I very rarely turned the subwoofers off that I used to have, and never really pushed the speakers to see how clear they'd be. I found that if I put the bass on 0 and turned the treble up, the 5x7s and 6x9s sounded great at high volumes.

    But,

I've got the bug again....I need bass. I can't decide what to do. Two kicker cvr12's, 750.1 amp and building a ported box would probably cost me around $500. An elemental designs 19Ov.2, nine. 1 amp, and building a sealed box would probably cost me around $600. Or I could just get a single 12 and a small amp for much cheaper.

...plus sound deadening and any wire upgrades, and I have no idea how much sound deadening I need. I want to do the entire trunk and lid, inside the front doors, and possibly the floor...because my straight pipes create a good amount of vibration.

But then I go right back to the beginning...what if it gets stolen? What can I do to prevent the theft again? I took the face off the stock radio and built a fake stock radio faceplate to put over my panasonic head unit when I park, and I unplugged the trunk release button on the drivers door, so you have to use a key. I've also rigged up some 1/2" thick chain running from one side of th trunk to the other, and attached a second chain to that chain leading up to the trunk lid...allowing the trunk to only open about 6 inches, and you need a key to unlock the padlocks holding chain together and the lid down. I also bought twenty 2" razor blades to attach to the back of the subwoofer box if I do indeed get subwoofers, and my friend's dad said he'd give me some barbwire from his warehouse to place in front of the amp if I get one. And still, I feel like it's not enough. I wonder if I should get an alarm, and add about $200-$300 to the subwoofer/amp/box/deadening/wire cost...or just say screw it and live with what I have.

definetly GET AN ALARM!!it doesnt have to be fancy.flashing lights and a back up battery for the siren.
hell if you want fancy get horns in the trunk and the cabin.

ever had someone honk a horn in your face.?now imagine that going on in the car.

as for a sub/amp combo.a single 12 in a properly built box with 200 to 400 watts should do fine.my new box with only245 watts and a single 10 L5 shakes the hells out of my suv.now for sure i need to buy deading for the whole thing.

a kicker cvr12, 400.1 amp, and box would probably cost me around $350...pushing 400rms.

How many watts do you think my audiobahn 12' pushed in their bandpass box with the A8000T amp? (it said 800rms on both)
