    **** liberty mutual

They said they can only cover up to a maximum of $500. I have the receipt from circuit city saying I paid $165 for the cd player, $16 for the wiring harness, and $90 for speakers...

The insurance company is saying my cd player goes for $190 now, the speakers go for $130 now, and with those 2 things, the wiring harness, the installation kit, and installation at circuit city, that comes to $470. They said they're sending me a check for $30 ****ing dollars. That's it. And I paid $147.20 for circuit city 2 year protection plans on all my sh!t.

What is your deductible????? and why are they sending you a check for 30 bucks???? I am confused here.........things seem to be changing quite a bit?????

I had to pay a $500 deductable to fix the window, window frame, seats, paint job, etc.

And these past weeks I was dealing with CCS, their electronics department. Well it turns out once liberty mutual got the information I wanted a check for $720 from CCS, they checked my policy, and said I was only covered up to $500 for car stereo.

VIKING, I've already got the cd player, two 6x9's, and a sheet for free installation (w/ harness and kit) at circuit city. But instead of getting $720 for amp and subs, I'm getting $30.

I can't decide what to do. I don't want to spend a ton of money just to have my sh!t stolen again.

so I'm thinking I could either get..

a 4 channel amp to power my speakers
    a cheap powered sub
or a cheap sub and amp...very cheap

My 5x7's are 60rms watts at 4ohm and my 6x9's are 100rms watts at 4ohm, by the way. My cd player is pushing 18rms watts x 4 at 4ohm.

    Nice looking!!!!!!!!

It appears that the sattelites use an old trick for high frequency sound dispersion, basically an increasing radius inverted "cone"...this technique has been used in a variety of speakers/monitors for many years. i remember a set i believe that were made by Peavey, sounded absolutly great for a musical insrument speaker......

Do you think I'd get some bass from my 100rms watt 6x9s? lol

What would I be best off doing, getting an amp that's 60x4 watts?
Or getting an amp that's 100x2 watts and running it to the 6x9s only?
    Any other ideas?

A 4 channel amp will open up more possibilities down the road for fade control, or actively x-over mids and tweets, a 2 channel amp will do just fine also....

power output and spl wise, wont be much difference really

If I got a 60x4 4 channel, would I notice a big difference over what I have now? (18x4 head unit)

Well I looked at 4 channel amps on ebay and edesignaudio....

The brands I looked at were kicker, kenwood, mtx, pioneer, and elemental designs. All of them ranged from 50x4 - 70x4 and from $130-$185 shipped...except for the elemental designs...which went for $235.

    kicker zx350.4 (60x4) $150
    kenwood kac8452 (70x4) $125
    mtx tc4004 (50x4) $185
    pioneer gm-6200f (60x4) $130
    elemental designs nine.4 (65x4) $235
