she just told me now she wants more bass.. lol.. the addiction begins..

I got a 200x2 5 year old Boss amp I can throw in there .. just collecting dust.. I still have the adaptor that came with it so I can hook it into the stock speakers insted of using an RCA cable. Question though.. Do I have to hook up all the speakers to the harness or can i just hook up the rear speakers and leave the other input wires empty?

Will have to find me a real cheap sub and enclosure to throw in her trunk to just add a little bass for her.

Viking it likes a 4 pin female connector that plugs into the amp and has 8 wires.. + and - for each speaker to wire to it for the input instead of using RCAs

Easy way to do this...easiest with trunk cars.

Behind the dash, connect the rear speaker wires to the fronts(of the factory harnnes not comming out of the deck

Now you can wire the amp to the rear speaker leads to power the fronts and just run some new wire to the rear speakers since they are easily accessable.

Get the idea?? Just make sure the polarities are correct

Ok well I did most of the install today. Got the front speakers in the car. Car sounds much better already. Today was mostly getting the amp ready. Running the power cables and grounds and so forth.

Since she has a factory radio I used this.

Basically I just wired it into the rear speakers and just going to use the rear RCA output since im just using it to power a sub. Going to bridge my little 2 channel amp so it only needs one set of inputs anyways.

The only thing that stopped me from finishing today was it started to rain about 1 hour from being done. All I really have left to do is reconnect the negative terminal, connect the amp up, and connect the sub to the amp. All the wires have been ran and everything is ready.

It's been a while since ive ran new power cables for amps so I had a question. I need to put the fuse in THEN connect the negative back up right? If I remember right that is the proper way.

Ill be finishing it up tomorrow and give you guys some pictures of the install.
