I need quick help before I go buy this amp at noon!!

    I checked all around the cone, i couldnt find nothing, and i cant hear no scruffin or grinding when i push the speaker in and out while its off, it sounds fine, and it even hits hard also where you cant even hear the flappin unless your right up on the speaker, not sure, ill check it out again tomorrow

    I found the problem to my type-r, ITS NOT BLOWN!, thank god, but does need some repairs, see below, Im gonna pick up some serious silicone, and run a nice bead along the flap, its weird how those subs have flaps on them like that

    Good job. How in the heck did that happen? I inspect mine a lot and they always seem very sturdy.

    Not sure how it happened, i got some RTV silicone holding it down now, ill let it dry for 2 days and then put it back in the box for a trial run and see if it works out, I must of had this guy flexin a little bit, half of the flap was off, the other half was fine though, Ill update you guys in 2 days and let you know how it works out, and thanks to everyone that posted in this thread with their help!

    I siliconed it on the night of the dec. 27th, do you think I should let dry one more day before puttin it to the bass test?

    I put this bad boy in and it is hittin hard!! sounds better then before after my silicone job, thanks for all the help guys!
