I told the guy the that i wouldn't push through with the purchase. All my other purchases are done thru paypal, going with western union sucks. Going back to the brutus BXI1606 and the zeus ZXI4606 amp. the brutus should have more than enough power for two 12" CVR's or 1 L5 or L7? elemental designs is just not in my budget right now so i'm looking for other GOOD alternatives. If any of you had a choice, would you go with kicker ZX750.1 and Kicker ZX350.4 or Hifonics?
I'd go with the Hifonics sub amp but kicker 4 channel the 1600 watt hifonics is enough for 4 or 5 cvrs
If i'm going to use CVR's I only want to use two of them. If an L7 i'm only going to use one. I really don't want to mix the brands of the amps so i'd rather stick to one brand.
I got the 4 channel brutus wired to some fairly high end Focal speakers and its very clean. About the distortion, if you were in a super quiet soundroom It might give me a little concern but in a noisy car it wont make a difference. Im not sure about everyone elses experience with these amps but I have the exact same ones you are looking at in my car right now and listen to them everyday. I can assure you they are good sounding amps and make a lot of power. If they sucked id tell you to stay away, but im very happy with them and would buy them again.
Just curious, are the Hifonics titan amps any good? HIFONICS TXI-7506 TITAN MONO AMP 1 channel operation 500w x 1 @ 2ohm rms 750w x 1 @ 1ohm rms only problem is, it's an A/B class HIFONICS TXI4406 Titan Series A/B-Class 2/3/4-Channel Amplifier 4 x 55-Watts RMS @ 4-Ohms 4 x 110-Watts RMS @ 2-Ohms 2 x 220-Watts Mono Bridge @ 4-Ohms
The titan amp that I have is an older model, manufactured in 2005 and a class D but I cant hear any difference between that one and the newer 1206D. I cant speak for the newer Titans.
alright, I was just curious about the titan amps. they weren't that much cheaper than the brutus amps. probably about $30 per amp.
