I see, so you are basically using a common ground for your amps. Should i do it that way or am i good grounding in 2 different places? they are pretty close to each other though, around 1 1/2 from each other.

in my truck, yes i am running a common ground. i actually have my power and ground from my little hifonics vulcan going into the nine.5's terminals.

it has 8 guage and the nine.5 has space for 1 gauge. so the 4 and 8 gauge fit just fine.

unless you want to ground in two diff spots. its up to you.

I guess i'll just keep it the way it is now. I'll fool around with the crossover for the DLS tonight to see if the hissing goes away.

I'm reading the manual for the THREE.1 now and I looks like I have to redo all my gains on the THREE.1 and amps. Like a retard, i didn't read the manual before i installed it. Hopefully I'll be able to get better sound out of my set up when its all done.

Thanks again for your input pedro..

I saw that remark Pedro haha, you don't have a chance in hell now with my new box. Don't make me embarass you with a 200 watt system hahaha hehehe hahah hehehe haha he....................Before i may have been afraid but now i seek and destroy all competition....

cc a ground on your head unit 4-5 feet long with speaker wire sounds like big problems to me. it should be less than 12 inches. There must be some metal behind your deck.

I've checked, I can't find any metal back there. Doing the ground 4-5ft long did help a lot though, even if i only used speaker wire. lol

I did see a little metal right near the head unit but I don't have a drill so i couldn't do it there.... YET. what gauge wire should i use for the head unit ground?
