the sound from comps are far better then from a coax speaker. $200 for both sets? ok... If that's the case then you may want to take a look a phoenix gold RSD's comps and coax speakers. for sure they will be within your budget. I though you wanted $200 for the comps alone. lol
I found this... 5x7 coax for the rear... (same as 6x8, it will fit) http://cgi.ebay.com/Polk-Audio-db571-Coaxial-Car-Speaker-2-Way-Brand-New_W0QQitemZ260424272872QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Speakers?hash=item3ca27f0be8&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1234|293%3A1|294%3A50 for the comps http://cgi.ebay.com/POLK-AUDIO-DB6501-6-5-COMPONENT-300W-MAX-BRAND-NEW_W0QQitemZ260294423705QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Speakers?hash=item3c9ac1b499&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1234|293%3A1|294%3A50 that's under $200
just get the comps and an amp for now. leaving the rear fill for later. PG's are cheap. http://cgi.ebay.com/PHOENIX-GOLD-R6...s?hash=item2798fa08f7&_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-PHOENIX-GOL....c0.m14&_trkparms=65:1|66:2|39:1|293:1|294:50
Ok then what for the amp? I know you wouldn't say to try and run 6 speakers off a head unit. I know I can just run the 3.5s I already have off of it but I'm pretty sure an amp would be needed for the others.
Yeah the rear fill can wait. I have some back there but they are junk. Those RSDs look pretty good to me.
you could just get a 2 channel amp for the comps then run all the other speakers off the stereo. to date, i'm only using 2 of my 4 channels. my rear fill is just off the stereo
