    doesnt matter about 1 ohm i have them at 4 ohms and the more resistance the better thw quality and almost every amp ive ever herd of is 4 ohm stable in bridged mode.

    Your amp is NOT one ohm stable but will do fine pushing those subs at 4 ohms

    ah... I can't make up my mind... either 3 JL 12w6v1's (that means I have to change boxes and remount everything) or just put in two Kappa Perfects. It's about the same price .. 3 Used cardboard JL's vs. 2 new Kappa Perfects.

    Cardboard???? What are you talking about???

    The JL's have a cardboard surround. unlike the rubber surround ring on most newer subs. Don't ask if it's better or worse, but all i know is that it's old school. Does anyone know anything about these two subs?

    The surround on all JL subs are made of some kind of treated foam...You mean the trim ring..yes it is cardboard but that does not affect the sound quality.

    Some subs don't even have this ring...Ex" JL W7's and others with huge foam surrounds.
