Would be interesting...take an old power 1000 and put it head to head with a current day quality 1000 watt amp...see the truth behind it all...

 

that would be interesting. heres one for you. i used to run my front stage on my elemental designs nine.5, 5ch amp. i bridged the 4ch to 2ch mono for a rated 350 x2 @ 4ohms.

well for what ever reason it decided to start blowing fuses and go into protect.

any who. i had my old OLD hifonics vulcan running my rear fill and rewired it to run my front @ 50 x2.

you know what?? it sounded every bit as good as the ED amp. not as loud but just as clean. still gets loud enough tho.

funny huh, 100 VS 700 rms with next to no output loss.
