you know going to all these shows is making think about running my 2 M50's to my L5.1 bridged to each coil.

that would mabye gain me...maybe 1.5db's or 2.maybe?
i need to check my other amps output to make sure it could be done.

the last time it was hooked to the sub it just didnt sound right to me.it did better as a mids/highs amp.

oh crap i forgot to tell ya'll...my friend mike has a hifonics amp thats supose to be putting out 1600 watts.

it's actually doing 1095. we tested it at the show.so anyways we got our systems metered for free right..

    he's got 2 12's running over 500 watts each and a box thats at least 4 cu ft.he only did a 129 and i did a 135.8.

it may have had somthing to do with him haveing a trunk and me haveing an suv.

with that i may enter into an event.the 129.9 class.

How do you get your amp tested for how many watts its putting out?

to CORRECTLY test an amp you need an oscilliscope...a clamp meter...and a DMM

play a test tone and turn the gain up as high as it will go before the signal clips

measure the voltage output at the terminals...at the same time measure the current through the wire with the clamp meter.

take the voltage divided by the current...this will give you your reactive load...the load the amplifier sees at this frequency.

then take the voltage squared divided by the resistance(reactive load)...this will give you your true output at that frequency.

oh and i will somehow get the M100.close too 1000 watts at 2 ohms i've heared.

and my amp must be doing more cause i was testing it so many times that on my last test i forgot to turn the bass up to where i was testing it before(all the way up).it was just under half.

    sooooo........maybe 375-400

    8 Sundowns + 4 BTL = ? - SSA:

hey pedro...g monk only hit a 151.5db and he had a hard time doing it. Goes to show that numbers don't mean much...well there are setups that are loud to the ear and loud on the meter...and some that are both

hey electro that car looked nice, but sounded like ass.

whats the deal with bullet tweeters.they make a system sound awful

what you could do is mount the fans parallel to the floor and have a couple pull air in and another couple push air out from underneath
